A simple introduction about Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream or better known as BB Cream.

I have been using BB Cream over the normal foundation for several years. The Korean made a good line of BB Creams and its very popular among the Asians. I felt that BB Cream somehow more nutritious than the normal foundation which only serves as coverage.

Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream’s design is simple, slim & sleek with a content of 40ml. Therefore it is easy to carry out. One thing that I would like to emphasize is that; Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream is an eco-friendly product. “No Animal Testing, Alcohol Free, No Paraben”.

Although it is a product of Korea, it also has English translation for better understanding. What I like most about this BB cream is the high SPF. Its an important component as we often expose to sunlight. This is something good about BB cream. Needless to apply/purchase an additional tube of sunblock.

The dispenser tip is small which allows you to control the flow. Natta Cosme suggested to apply BB cream with the assistance from Cerro Qreen, Natural Emulsion Powder Puff.

Squeeze out a desired amount of BB Cream on Cerro Qreen, Natural Emulsion Powder Puff.

Pat evenly on your face using Cerro Qreen, Natural Emulsion Powder Puff. (Apply after basic skincare routine.)

Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream only comes in 1 shade. One shade that fits naturally from dark skin tone to light skin tone. From the photo above, the BB cream blends very well, resulting in natural skin color.

Lets try it on my bare face. (pardon my non-makeup face =_=)

Could you see the difference? Although Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream only comes in one shade, but it fits my tanned complexion giving me the natural & glowy finish. I wouldn’t say it has ‘superb’ coverage…but it does give me an even skin tone and helps to cover certain spots.

Okay…lets finish up with the other side of face and wrap up with some powdering to give nice matte surface!

Why do you need a toner after cleansing your face?

It will get rid of any traces of cleanser remaining on your skin, temporarily shrink pores and may even give a moisturizing effect, depending on the ingredients in the toner.

Apply toner on a cotton pad or ball and just swipe all over your skin again paying special attention to areas such as the sides of your nose.

My Dislike

– The leaking problem from the lid. Not advisable to place in your traveling bag. I transferred it to a spray bottle instead.

Okay…lets begin our make up with a clean and moisturized face…

Start with the Foundation Brush (3). Pump a small amount of foundation on your hand, the use this foundation brush as an applicator. Also able to blend well over your face.

Next, I will go with loose powder. Using Powder Brush (1) as an applicator to create a matte look.

For a natural look, use neutral tones like earthy browns. Sweep across eyelids up to below brow bone using the Big Eyeshadow Brush(4) as a highlighter. Then use Small Eyeshadow Brush (6) to apply the darker shade of eyeshadow start at the outer corner of the eye and work the shadow along the crease and the edge of the lid.

For eyes part, after you are done with eyeshadow and eyeliner… you may need to apply mascara to make your eyes stand out. Using an Eyelash Comb (5) is to brush off clumps after you applied mascara. Ya…its like combing your eyelashes. 😉

Blush gives you a rosy glow. While smiling, apply blush using Blush Brush (2) to the apples of the cheeks and blend back toward the hairline. Make sure its spread evenly using the brush 🙂

For eyebrow, I preferred using dark brown color. Using a small angled Eyebrow Brush (7) , follow the shape of the eyebrow and fill it in to enhance your natural brow line.

Lastly, not forgetting to add some color to your lip. The Lip Brush (10) – which look alike a piece of crayon is actually the casing for this brush. Using this lip brush to apply and blend the lip color evenly.

Each and every brushes are made of different materials. Fortunately it do not stinks unlike some brushes. I like that the bristles are soft yet dense. Overall I’m quite satisfied with this set of brush in terms of quality, design and value for money!
