Every year, on 31st October marks the actual day of Halloween. What is your plan today?
Over the centuries Halloween transitioned from a pagan ritual to a day of parties, costumes, jack-o-lanterns and trick-or-treating for kids and adults.
Halloween is celebrated in various and creative ways depending on each country’s cultural influences. The common yet popular among the children would be trick or treat and also dressing Halloween costumes.
This year, I am glad to be able to join a Halloween Theme Dinner.
In conjunction to this spooky celebration, Avillion Admiral Cove has organized a Ghost House Dinner which held at their Bourgainvillae Cafe.
Okay, I tried to put up the best in me… LOL!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Demon, Grim Reapor, Vampire and not forgetting a Hantu Pocong! 😀
Jet was initially feeling excited to go to the party, then repeatedly hide behind me upon seeing the team. He claimed they look scary. LOL!
Do they look scary?
Some of the guests took effort to wear costumes too.
Jet & Grandma
That evening, we began with spooky jungle walk.
Gosh….the Jungle Walk was indeed creepy. Trails was slightly muddy, with scary features and eerie background music. Grrrr….
Pheww…luckily the ghostly path wasn’t that long. After the Jungle Walk, the guests were lead to the dining hall filled with ghostly props.
Much effort they put for the overall setup.
It was a buffet dinner. Guests were served with varies food from starters to main course then desserts.
Entertained by Live band performance during the dinner session.
The Halloween Ghost Team
The show did not end there. We even got a chance to watch a spectacular fire show by The Vampire Team! Everyone enjoyed applaud the show.

All in all, it was a nice Halloween night. Wishing everyone Happy Halloween 2018!

Inspired by the Japanese,it started off with “Recycle Trend” during the 90’s in Japan. It was first created by Bookoff Corporation. Thereafter Bookoff Corporation has expand to more than 800 outlets in Japan and overseas.
Japan is a rich nation where people are able to earn high income but lack of personal storage. Hence it is necessary for them to sell fairly new stuff at ‘Preloved’ store.
Preloved is defined as previously owned or used. This concept will create a better environment and less wastage too.
Mr. Daichi Shuzuiis the Director of BOK Marketing.
In Malaysia, it is known as Jalan Jalan Japan store. A store selling preloved goods from Bookoff Corporation Japan. I was told that, goods are arriving at the rate of five to six containers a month.

Most women will go through a confinement period after giving birth. Hence confinement refers to a system for recovery following childbirth. The confinement period may vary individually but a common length is usually 28 days to 100 days. During this period of time, mothers are required to rest as much as possible. Proper rest and stress free environment makes a lot of difference.
New parents are often excited upon the arrival of their newborn. Thus, they are also stressed up because expectation is always different from reality.
Those days, we only have our mother or mother in law to take role as a confinement lady. Then we have some hired professional confinement lady to stay in. However in this era, confinement centers are so well established that some mothers would prefer to choose completing their confinement period in a center which they felt like as though they are spending vacation in a hotel. A place where you don’t need to worry about your meal, your laundry, your baby’s soiled diaper or to bath a newborn. Many new parents are still unfamiliar with these.
A huge Bungalow unit located at Taman Permai Seremban. There are total 9 bedrooms.
I am glad to know that PostnataLee Breastfeeding Home 李医务所 专业月子中心 is not just an ordinary confinement center for mothers to rest. But it is also known as breastfeeding home where the nurses and doctors here are fully supportive in breastfeeding. They will support and guide via action instead of verbal talking. Breastfeeding is not something new today, but there are still lack of information and support especially in Seremban. Being a breastfeeding mother myself, I understand the struggle and also the benefits of breastfeeding. (Keyword; ‘Do not give up’).
The founder, Dr. Choong Syih Ying is a passionate and also a friendly person. A very humble person I would say. Not just a founder of the center, but she’s also a doctor herself. She has 3 years of working experiences in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Labour room ; 4 years experiences in Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
New mom often feel that she’s a failure when she couldn’t handle her newborn. Dr. Choong will also provide counseling. Hence mothers and babies will put under good care of her. Dr. Choong will know what’s best for them.
Dr.Choong also explained the difference of using diaper and cloth diaper. PostnataLee Breastfeeding Home uses only cloth diaper. It is more environmental friendly and also reduce the risk of getting nappy rash. Besides that, baby’s clothing are also provided here.
In case the mother need some peace time, here’s the baby room. It is put under a closed circuit observation.
Besides that, they also provide in house jaundice checking using latest technology without blood withdrawing (transcutaneous) and phototherapy (if necessary) for babies.
There are total 7 certified nurses here.
I especially like this grand stairway. 🙂
The spacious and bright dining area onlooking the green garden. An area where mummies can have their delicious yet healthy food here.
A set of lunch meal complete with all the nutrition. Besides that, daily tonic soup using Sulfur free Chinese herbs specially customized by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Master and prepared according to mummies body needs. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served daily. Not forgetting tea break in between main meals. Dr. Choong also ensured that there’s no repetition in dish throughout the whole confinement period here. (Unless there’s any request from mummy here)
With a special focus on eating foods considered to be nourishing for the body and help with the production of breastmilk, Dr. Choong also stressed on the food quality. Ingredients used here are kampung chicken, bentong ginger, organic vegetables, oat noodle, homemade rice wine, homegrown lemon grass, sulfur-free Chinese herbs, Anxin Pork. No salt was added to the dishes, yet the dishes are filled with natural flavors.
Superior Room
Premium Room (with sharing bathroom)
Private Suite (with individual bathroom)
I was told that the baby changing table and baby crib was custom made to a height that suit mothers with caesarean. Baby crib look old-skool, but the pros are it has better ventilation and mother laying on bed could monitor her baby movement from all angles.
With current package promotion, package price start from RM7888 to RM9888. An additional free traditional post natal massage & face lymphatic facial for the RM9888 package.
Rooms here are non-sharing. At PostnataLee Breastfeeding Home, stay in husband/baby’s father is most encouraging. Dr. Choong believes that a husband should stay in together to create a good family bonding and give the best moral support to their wife.
A bonus point here is; not just a confinement home, PostnataLee Breastfeeding Home also provide parenting guidance to new parent before the arrival of the newborn, during confinement period and even after confinement period.
Above are some reviews.

The Color Shop at Palm Mall Seremban is now more than just a hair saloon. Recently they’ve added Nail Care & Design (Nail Saloon) into their premise. Meaning to say, ladies and gentlemen can have a nice hairdo plus nail care under the same roof. Kill two birds with one stone! 😀
Located at Level 2, the same floor as GSC cinema.
Ever since I became a mother, time is really precious to me. I rarely have time to indulge myself in hairdo, body massage or nails. One week ago, I pay a visit here for a good self pampering to groom my nails. Our nails are just like our face, body and hair which requires good care too. Hence, I must really enjoy the session.
Ling, the friendly Manicurist here has several years of working experience back in New York.
I sat on the comfortable couch, then Ling explained the nail services that are available here.
For your info, Ling uses mostly products are of OPI brand. Only the nail color, there’s a choice of OPI and BANDI. Both are already a well known brand in nail care line.
I started off with a good foot spa then followed by pedicure.
I was told to sit on this sofa. Little did I know, its not just a sitting sofa, but also a massaging chair. Wow…this is really a bonus to customers! During the whole process, you can enjoy a good back massage. Sit back, relax and leave the rest to the professional.
Ling added sea salt into the foot spa tub which was filled with warm water. Sea salt are known to be a natural cleansing agent.
She begin with applying a later of OPI ‘mask’ onto my leg, then cling wrapped my legs and finally wrapped with warm towel. This is the ‘steaming’ process. This step took approximately 20 minutes.
Then Ling started shaping my toe nails.
This foot spa tub device works like a Jacuzzi. Just soak your feet in. Bubbles and heat provide soothing relief to the soles of your feet, it also includes soft-touch massager.
Next, Ling proceed with removing cuticles and dead skin. Cuticle oil was also added during this step.
Then, removed the warm towels and cling wrap. Ling applied OPI scrub for exfoliating.
Using the foot file, Ling removes dead skin from my foot and especially heels. (Foot Scrub)
Lastly, towel dry the leg then applied moisturizer. I can feel that my legs are much smoother now.
The whole session also includes an additional 10 minutes of foot massage by the skillful Manicurist.
Ling handed over the color palate. Choosing which color suits my toe nails. Varies from pastels to bold colors.
If you fancy some studs or bling bling stuffs on your nails.
Ling applied a layer of ‘base coat’ before proceeding to the actual selected color.
I chose a pastel pink for my toes. Ling commented that my nails are so short. LOL 😀
The above is Gel Nail Polish.
What is the difference between a gel nail polish and a traditional nail enamel? Gel nail polishes are formulated differently from traditional nail color and cure under artificial light, so they dry faster and last longer. Gel nail polish lasts up to two weeks without chipping or peeling, and retains its shine as well.
After application, we need to cure the nail polish. The curing stage requires a special nail drying light. The curing process took 30 seconds.
Lastly, top coat is applied to protects nails while giving them the strength to take on your daily activities, without chipping, peeling or looking scratched.
The above process took approximately 1.5 hours.
Pedicure – RM40
Foot Spa(inclusive of 10 minutes foot massage) – RM80
After beautifying my toe nails, next we proceed with Manicure. Ling proposed French Nail because I told her I just want a simple one.
Trimming ,shaping and buffer my nails before applying the gel color polish.
Ling ensured that she always sterilized her tools.
Ling was very detailed when she did my nails. She applied polish away from my cuticles.
My simple dimple looking nails. They looked very presentable and its still in good condition over almost 2 weeks.
(To protect your fingernails, use your fingers when you type on keyboard instead of finger tip)
Manicure – RM30
Gel Color – RM50
French – RM10

As a Full Time Working Mom, to have a balance lifestyle between work, home and children can be quite stressful. I tend to look for ways to de-stress or occasional self pampering session option like Spa.
Recently, I chanced upon Sanctuary Asia Spa at d’Tempat Country Club, Seremban. Thus, I had a wonderful spa experience which I would like to share here.
I was served by Lindriwho then explained the types of therapy and package available here.
On going promotion for month of December. Club members will get to enjoy more discount. Best kan?
Above are the available treatments and prices.
Thus, I took up the 3 hours package treatment. Read on for more details.
The reception area and the corridor leading to rooms are spacious and brightly lit.
Sanctuary Asia Spa, is designed with contemporary style and subtle touch of Balinese to Rejuvenate, Retreatand Relieve your senses.
I was also told that, these are the products used during the therapy; massage.
Avocado & Milk, were among the favorite massaging cream.
The techniques used at the Sanctuary Asia Spa include acupressure, skin rolling and flicking, firm and gentle stroking, percussion and application of essential oils and also the use of stone massage. The combination of manual therapy and aromatherapy encourages one not only to relax, but to also help loosen the facial restrictions, stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the flow of blood and qi.
Hall for Foot Massage.
But for some who prefers some privacy, rooms are also available for Foot Massage too.
Whilst the Waiting Room is spacious and relaxing.
There are total of 5 individual rooms. Rooms are equipped with sauna, bath tub, shower room, wash basin, cupboard and 1 unit of bed for massage.
Above is the room for 2. Total units available here are 2 rooms. Ideal for couples. The difference between a single and couple room is that, room is more spacious and it comes with Jacuzzi. Apart from that, the room look so luxurious!
I was arranged to have my session in this room. The room has a peaceful and relaxing ambiance. Plus points to the soothing music and calming essential oil. Furthermore the masseur was attentive , which made me feel more comfortable to begin the session.
It started off with Foot Bath.
Then, proceeded to Sauna for a good sweat out.
A sauna’s heat also helps to open your pores, which promotes sweating and cleanses your skin. The high temperatures promotes blood flow and circulation, which can make you feel energized after a sauna.
This session lasted about 30 minutes. However if you feel uneasy, you can opt for a shorter duration.
I was attended by Maya, who is friendly and skillful. She is from Indonesia and has several years of working experience as a masseur. She commented that I have very stiff shoulder. What I like most is that, not much of talking or chit chatting. Just relax yourself and enjoy the whole session. I literally fall asleep.
The above session covers; Balinese Aromatherapy Massage, Balinese Green Tea Scrub, then followed by Yogurt Conditioning.
I skipped the Traditional Balinese Facial because I wanted more on massage 😀
After all the above, I then continued with Milk & Flower bath in a tub of warm water. Frangipani flower is widely use in Bali. It is Bali’s signature flower and it smells nice too.
I was offered with this spa salt. Put small amount of spa salt on wet body and rub gently in circular motion. Rinse off with clean water. This fine spa salt is to nourish and moisturize during exfoliating for smooth, clean and healthy skin.
Guests will also served with a cuppa warm Ginger Tea after the session end.
I love this pampering session very much. Do bring along your loved ones who really deserves a good pampering session and I assured that she’ll really appreciate your effort. 🙂
Last but not least, this will be the highlight of this post.

Put aside eateries from big city like KL. How often do you come across western food restaurant in Seremban that have pork in their menu. Quite rare isn’t it? To be honest, I love eating pork 😀 😀
I was delighted to discover Margaret. T Private Dining Place located at Uptown Avenue, Seremban 2 . This new restaurant is set up by group of food enthusiast who are passionate about great food.
“We love food and would love to share the nice food we had to people in Seremban,” said both Goh and Hayden, the important people behind this dining place.

Grilled salmon tasted good on its own. It is well seasoned and not overcooked. Furthermore the salmon skin was crispy too. And I believed it requires some good skills.
Rosemary Lamb Rack
The nicely seasoned Lamb Rack was well executed. It was a delicious lamb rack with lovely pinkish tone.
Wagyu Ribeye Marble 6 – RM199

This slab of Wagyu was a starlight of the day. It was perfectly grilled. Despite tasty, the meat was tender, juicy and smooth. The marble fats create buttery like texture. It literally melts in the mouth. So yummy!

Spacious dining room with air-conditioned, made a comfortable hangout place.
Boat noodles is a Thai style noodle dish.
“Boat noodles have been served since the period of Plaek Phibunsongkhram in 1942, and were original served from boats that traversed Bangkok’s canals.
In the past, a merchant who sold boat noodles would have been the only person working on a small boat, and would have had to do everything by himself from paddle a boat, scald the noodles, season the soup, serve the dish, handle money and wash the dishes. If the bowl was too big, it would be difficult to hand over to the customer on the land and might be easily spilled. This is the reason why the boat noodle’s bowl is small, for the convenience and safety of the merchant.”
Siam Siam Boat Noodles offering you Thai Boat Noodle with a Malaysian Twist! There are 4 types of noodles for you to choose from; Bihun, Yellow Noodle, Kuey Teow, Loh She Fun. The options do not stop here. There are 4 types of soup to go with these noodles; Chicken Soup, Spicy Soup, Tom Yam Soup, Dry Curry.
These little bowl of noodles are topped with minced chicken, a fishball and sprinkled with spring onions.
It is an open kitchen concept, hence you can view the working staffs in the kitchen preparing the food.
In Thai food, I’ll make sure that Thai Iced Tea is in my order list! It is a drink that you must not miss.
We started off with something appetizing, the Papaya Salad or we called it Kerabu Betik. It is quite thoughtful of them to separate the peanuts from the salad, just in case there are people who is allergy to nuts.
Fishball Noodle in Chicken Soup is non spicy which is suitable for children.
Bihun in Spicy Soup
Kuey Teow in Tom Yam Soup
Dry Curry Noodle
My choice of soup would be dry curry, tom yam soup & spicy soup. Because I am a spicy person… I meant I like spicy food!
Krapow Gai Rice (RM11.90)
Krapow Gai Rice is a rice dish. Minced chicken, chili, onion and basil were cooked in Thai flavors. Its really a spicy and flavorful dish. Topped with a beautiful bull’s eye egg on rice.
Spicy Gai Tod (RM10.90) is another rice dish. The yellow turmeric rice complimented with curry gravy and a piece of fried chicken marinated with spices.
Chicken Wings (5pcs/RM16) were fried to perfection. Crispy skin, well marinated and tender meat.
After the savory meal, I would like to have some dessert. We started with a warm dessert which was Waffle. It is new on their menu. The waffle comes with choice of single or double scoop coconut ice cream. While the choice of topping would be Pandan Coconut, Peanut Butter, Strawberry or Chocolate. I made a choice of Peanut Butter. Because its my favorite. 😀 The waffle has a good texture and I like the thickness of it. Besides that, its is slightly crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. The warm waffle goes really well with ice cream + peanut butter. It is a lovely snack!
Mango is a common fruit in Thai food. Here we had Mango Pudding Ice Cream (RM14.90). 3 different kind of texture in one serving.
To feel a lil more refreshing on a hot afternoon, we had Mango Sago (RM7.90). Siam Siam Boat Noodles served a few types of shaved ice dessert.
Grass Jelly Sago Snow (RM5.90) is one of the favorite pick.
Oreo Snow (RM7.90)
If you like something simple, Coconut Milk Snow (RM5.90) would be a good choice. Shaved ice topped with a scoop of coconut ice cream and gula melaka glazing. There were some jellies beneath the shaved ice.
