On end of February 2022, I was given the opportunity to join other team members to experience the all new Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain at a beautiful place in Putrajaya.

It was an honor to be able to join the team for a 30km test drive experience around Putrajaya. During the test drive on road, I get to experience the Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Manual Speed Limiter.

Adaptive Cruise Control – Adjusts your cruising speed based on vehicles around you. – useful when there’s a certain speed limit restriction along the road.

Lane Departure Warning – Detects and warns the driver should drift towards another lane. – useful when you are switching lanes, sometimes we are caught off guard during this situation.

Manual Speed Limiter – Enables driver to set a maximum speed (30 – 160km/hr) so that the speed could not exceed the speed limit.

We even got the opportunity to self experience some of the fantastic safety features! Such as :-

There are just too many features to list everything in a post. LOL!

Honestly this is the first time I’m driving a pickup truck. Initially i was doubting myself whether can i handle it? *Chuckle. Not only i was given the opportunity to drive, but also a hands on experience on the specs of this new Isuzu D-max X-Terrain. After experiencing it myself, i truly felt that its more than what a pick up truck does, especially on the safety features which impressed me. Besides that, it is easy to maneuver too. You really got to try it yourself! On top of that, I really love the leather seats with lumbar support, which makes the overall vehicle looking so premium. Therefore it makes me wonder, am I in pickup truck? Furthermore the stability and comfortableness gives you more confidence for smoother and longer journey.

I would say The All New Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain, not only it is suitable for women but also as a family car. I also hope to bring my family for more adventurous trips!

We began with Calamansi Sour Plum Drink, a refreshing drink to quench our thirst during the hot weather.

Large stainless steel mixing bowl with lid, a butterfly whisk, measuring cup, a simmering basket and Varoma set.

Above are the mixture of 100g rock sugar and 5 pcs of sour plum after applying Turbo mode x2. Look how fine the result. (Turbo mode begin at 0.5 second to maximum 2 seconds)

I’m impressed with the powerful the blades extracting the juice from calamansi. Look at it, still in a whole piece of calamansi!

Mua Chee is a popular street snack which we often find it troublesome to make at home. However with the convenience of Thermomix , we can get it done at home.

We added 100g whole roasted peanuts. It blends finely with speed level 8 for only 5 seconds.

The last step is to steam glutinous rice flour mixture in Varoma Steaming Basket for 15 minutes.

Taa daaa…..freshly made mua chee is served!

As a Full Time Working Mom, to have a balance lifestyle between work, home and children can be quite stressful. I tend to look for ways to de-stress or occasional self pampering session option like Spa.

Recently, I chanced upon Sanctuary Asia Spa at d’Tempat Country Club, Seremban. Thus, I had a wonderful spa experience which I would like to share here.

I was served by Lindri who then explained the types of therapy and package available here.

Thus, I took up the 3 hours package treatment. Read on for more details.

The reception area and the corridor leading to rooms are spacious and brightly lit.

Sanctuary Asia Spa, is designed with contemporary style and subtle touch of Balinese to Rejuvenate, Retreat and Relieve your senses.

I was also told that, these are the products used during the therapy; massage.
Avocado & Milk, were among the favorite massaging cream.

The techniques used at the Sanctuary Asia Spa include acupressure, skin rolling and flicking, firm and gentle stroking, percussion and application of essential oils and also the use of stone massage. The combination of manual therapy and aromatherapy encourages one not only to relax, but to also help loosen the facial restrictions, stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the flow of blood and qi.

But for some who prefers some privacy, rooms are also available for Foot Massage too.

Whilst the Waiting Room is spacious and relaxing.

There are total of 5 individual rooms. Rooms are equipped with sauna, bath tub, shower room, wash basin, cupboard and 1 unit of bed for massage.

Above is the room for 2. Total units available here are 2 rooms. Ideal for couples. The difference between a single and couple room is that, room is more spacious and it comes with Jacuzzi. Apart from that, the room look so luxurious!

I was arranged to have my session in this room. The room has a peaceful and relaxing ambiance. Plus points to the soothing music and calming essential oil. Furthermore the masseur was attentive , which made me feel more comfortable to begin the session.

It started off with Foot Bath.

Then, proceeded to Sauna for a good sweat out.

A sauna’s heat also helps to open your pores, which promotes sweating and cleanses your skin. The high temperatures promotes blood flow and circulation, which can make you feel energized after a sauna.

This session lasted about 30 minutes. However if you feel uneasy, you can opt for a shorter duration.

I was attended by Maya, who is friendly and skillful. She is from Indonesia and has several years of working experience as a masseur. She commented that I have very stiff shoulder. What I like most is that, not much of talking or chit chatting. Just relax yourself and enjoy the whole session. I literally fall asleep.

The above session covers; Balinese Aromatherapy Massage, Balinese Green Tea Scrub, then followed by Yogurt Conditioning.

I skipped the Traditional Balinese Facial because I wanted more on massage 😀

After all the above, I then continued with Milk & Flower  bath in a tub of warm water. Frangipani flower is widely use in Bali. It is Bali’s signature flower and it smells nice too.

I was offered with this spa salt. Put small amount of spa salt on wet body and rub gently in circular motion. Rinse off with clean water. This fine spa salt is to nourish and moisturize during exfoliating for smooth,clean and healthy skin.

Guests will also served with a cuppa warm Ginger Tea after the session end.

I love this pampering session very much. Do bring along your loved ones who really deserves a good pampering session and I assured that she’ll really appreciate your effort. 🙂

What I like most about sheet mask is the individual pack. It is so convenient and light weight to bring along especially when you are traveling for holiday. You could easily slip few into your bag.

With Malaysia’s weather, we tend to stay in the air conditioned room often. Most of us also turn on the air cond before sleep. Therefore our face tend to be dry. That’s how Klairs sheet mask gonna work. Put on this sheet mask before going to bed to keep our face moisturize and supple till the next morning.

The benefits and ingredients of the sheet mask are clearly printed on the front and back of its pack. The outlook is very simple and nothing fancy.

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask is made of pure cotton. It contains rich essence but no dripping when I took out from the pack. The smell is quite pleasant too. Try to refrigerate it a few minutes before using. It gives you a better soothing effect.

These are the shades of 3 colors I named above. The texture is like gel form and abit sticky.

Honestly, I’m not really a fan of liptstick. Its either the color made me look aunty/mature or the color doesn’t stay. However I’m quite turn on and satisfied with this lip tattoo. The colors look good on me (ahemm, self praising) and I’m flattered receiving positive feedback when I posted a picture on my Facebook.

Let’s try it on my bare lip (with minimal face makeup)

How to use

1) Before applying makeup, massage in an adequate amount of the 7 Seconds Speed White Cream to desired areas (face, neck, arms, legs, etc.).

2) To use the 7 Seconds Touch Fit Lip Tattoo, apply an even coat on the lips without going over the edges of your natural lip lines. 3) Let the lip tattoo dry for about 5-15 minutes, and be careful not to rub your lips or let anything touch them ! 4) After about 5-15 minutes, peel the lip tattoo from the outer edges of the lips to the inner edges. Peel off any excess lip tattoo and finish off the look with a clear gloss or lip balm for a natural look.

Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream

A simple introduction about Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream or better known as BB Cream.

I have been using BB Cream over the normal foundation for several years. The Korean made a good line of BB Creams and its very popular among the Asians. I felt that BB Cream somehow more nutritious than the normal foundation which only serves as coverage.

Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream’s design is simple, slim & sleek with a content of 40ml. Therefore it is easy to carry out. One thing that I would like to emphasize is that; Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream is an eco-friendly product. “No Animal Testing, Alcohol Free, No Paraben”.

Although it is a product of Korea, it also has English translation for better understanding. What I like most about this BB cream is the high SPF. Its an important component as we often expose to sunlight. This is something good about BB cream. Needless to apply/purchase an additional tube of sunblock.

The dispenser tip is small which allows you to control the flow. Natta Cosme suggested to apply BB cream with the assistance from Cerro Qreen, Natural Emulsion Powder Puff.

Squeeze out a desired amount of BB Cream on Cerro Qreen, Natural Emulsion Powder Puff.

Pat evenly on your face using Cerro Qreen, Natural Emulsion Powder Puff. (Apply after basic skincare routine.)

Alternatively, you can also follow the diaphragm above on how to use BB cream.

Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream only comes in 1 shade. One shade that fits naturally from dark skin tone to light skin tone. From the photo above, the BB cream blends very well, resulting in natural skin color.

Lets try it on my bare face. (pardon my non-makeup face =_=)

Could you see the difference? Although Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream only comes in one shade, but it fits my tanned complexion giving me the natural & glowy finish. I wouldn’t say it has ‘superb’ coverage…but it does give me an even skin tone and helps to cover certain spots.

Okay…lets finish up with the other side of face and wrap up with some powdering to give nice matte surface!

Product Review: SKIN & LAB Dr.Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Facial Mask

Do you have large pores problem just like an orange skin? Awww…. don’t feel sad. Today I am going to share something to fix your problem. Something which able to minimizes the enlarged pores.

When I received a parcel from Natta, I got my lil helper to unbox it. *buat kecoh* LOL!

This is the product that I’m sharing today.

SKIN & LAB Dr.Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Facial Mask,
a product of Korea.

It comes in a tub size of 100ml. A lid to maintain the moisture content so that it will not dries up easily. For hygiene purposes, a spatula is also provided in every boxes. Using the provided spatula to scoop the sufficient amount to spread over your clean face.

How it smells?

Smells like fresh mud with hints of herbs.

How’s the texture?

Grainy & very cooling.

A gentle reminder to user before you use the mask. You will feel a sharp pain or tingling sensation the moment you spread the mask over your face. But the “pain” will gradually fade a few minutes later.

A clay mask is a beauty product that is used to improve the look and health of the skin. The mask should completely cover the skin but should also not be too thick. This is because one of the key functions of the clay, which is to draw dirt and excess oil out of the pores, cannot be completed if the mask stays wet. If they layer of clay is too thick, it can take too long to dry.

When a clay mask is applied to the face, it should kept off of the skin around the eyes and mouth. This is because the skin in these areas is delicate and may become irritated by the clay. Once the clay has dried on the face, it should be washed away with warm water. Sometimes, when a clay mask is completely dry and ready to be removed, it looks as though it has become polka dotted, especially around the T-zone. These dots are actually little spots of oil that have been sucked out of the skin by the clay as it dried.

Spread the mask evenly on your clean face and leave for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse the mask off with warm water. Wipe the clay off with upward, sweeping motions. Remove any clay facial mask that remains with a washcloth and gently rub in circular motions. Do a final rinse with cold water to close the pores. Finish the facial with a toner and moisturizer

A note of reminder:- When you use a clay mask, don’t wait for it to reach the flaky stage before you start rinsing. Do the touch test: When you start to see it drying (which usually means it gets lighter in color) but it still feels a bit sticky, it’s time to wash. Reason is because There are three phases of a clay mask. There’s the damp phase where your skin drinks in the beneficial minerals from the outside. Then you have the start of the dry phase, which exercises your capillaries and stimulates blood flow as the mask cools and contracts. But then there’s the dry phase, which draws out moisture from the surface of your skin, causing dehydration and irritation. Not only does skin then feel dry, tight, and sometimes itchy, but when you counteract it by slathering on extra face cream, you’re just smothering your freshly cleansed skin.

It will get rid of any traces of cleanser remaining on your skin, temporarily shrink pores and may even give a moisturizing effect, depending on the ingredients in the toner.

Apply toner on a cotton pad or ball and just swipe all over your skin again paying special attention to areas such as the sides of your nose.

Summary

– Huge content, 355ml…can last very long.

– Vintage like packaging.

– I am happy to see this sentence ‘Alcohol-Free Toner’ is printed on the bottle. Because I am quite concern about toner with alcohol content.

– Definitely love the natural and organic contents which doesn’t harm our skin.

– Probably because its formulated with aloe vera, therefore it works well in soothing and moisturizing. I noticed that my T-zone is less oily now.

My Dislike

– The leaking problem from the lid. Not advisable to place in your traveling bag. I transferred it to a spray bottle instead.

*trying to imitate a make up artist* I always envy as a make up artist, they usually own a bag/pouch filled with plenty of brushes meant for make up. Okay…lets begin our make up with a clean and moisturized face…

Start with the Foundation Brush (3). Pump a small amount of foundation on your hand, the use this foundation brush as an applicator. Also able to blend well over your face.

Next, I will go with loose powder. Using Powder Brush (1) as an applicator to create a matte look.

For a natural look, use neutral tones like earthy browns. Sweep across eyelids up to below brow bone using the Big Eyeshadow Brush(4) as a highlighter. Then use Small Eyeshadow Brush (6) to apply the darker shade of eyeshadow start at the outer corner of the eye and work the shadow along the crease and the edge of the lid.

Next, if you are using a cream eyeliner you’ll probably need the assistance of Eyeliner Brush (8) to draw a line along the lash line.

For eyes part, after you are done with eyeshadow and eyeliner… you may need to apply mascara to make your eyes stand out. Using an Eyelash Comb (5) is to brush off clumps after you applied mascara. Ya…its like combing your eyelashes. 😉

Blush gives you a rosy glow. While smiling, apply blush using Blush Brush (2) to the apples of the cheeks and blend back toward the hairline. Make sure its spread evenly using the brush 🙂

For eyebrow, I preferred using dark brown color. Using a small angled Eyebrow Brush (7) , follow the shape of the eyebrow and fill it in to enhance your natural brow line.

 Hair Length : 0.6cm

Lastly, not forgetting to add some color to your lip. The Lip Brush (10) – which look alike a piece of crayon is actually the casing for this brush. Using this lip brush to apply and blend the lip color evenly.

Each and every brushes are made of different materials. Fortunately it do not stinks unlike some brushes. I like that the bristles are soft yet dense. Overall I’m quite satisfied with this set of brush in terms of quality, design and value for money!
