When Yamagoya Ramen newly arrived in Klang Valley, I heard so much of their publicity through radio advertising. Since we were at Setiawalk Puchong, so Alex and I decided to give it a try. Understand that ever since Setiawalk implemented a parking fee, there are lots of complains about the jam towards the parking entrance. I hope they could do something on this.
You will be greeted by the friendly staffs as you enter their restaurant.
The 1 full page of ramen. Like not many choices hor….
My order; Yamagoya Ramen – RM19.
Not quite good. I was expecting it to taste as good as Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. Thin ramen while the broth….don’t you think its quite oily? You may find the broth is very rich and tasty on 1st few sip…later on feel ‘jelak’. However the slices Pork Char Siu are quite nice.
Alex chose Spicy Tobanjan Ramen – RM22.
I felt that Alex’s ramen taste the same like mine. The only difference is that..he has additional chili paste.
After adding the chili paste into the ramen. *looks so oily* @_@
I did not bother to add on. Because I felt that Soy Sauce Egg for RM4 is quite pricey.
Wasn’t sure if we made the right order. But the ramen failed to impress me.
*Strictly based on my individual taste*
Sad to know today is Monday again. Weekends are always so short!

Sean – So, which ramen are you heading to later? 😉
I wanna go try Ippudo next… havent tried the Yamagoya outlet in Setiawalk but the one in Publika was ok. Prices here seem pricier.
Baby Sumo – Isit? How come pricier over here hor.
I ate the Black Garlic Ramen at Yamagoya in Publika…not bad wor =)
ulric – Could it be the one at this outlet not so nice? hhmmm…
I’ll just stick to my kampua, thank you. LOL!!!
STP – LOL!! Very loyal! 😀
hahahaha ur clothes so ngam to ur caption.. monday blue…
Hi henry. Welcome to my blog!
Haha….I did that on purpose. Pick the right photo to match the caption 😉
Too many ramen restaurants that I’m confused which is which. Is this same as the one in Publika? If it is, then it was quite alright at Publika. Not sure about this branch though…
HAHAHA!! Quite true. Will get mixed up when their names are almost alike. They do have another outlet at Publika.
Honestly its a bit over rated during the review by many folks…if at all anything is worth trying at Yamagoya, it will definitely be the char siew:P The egg wasn’t too bad when we ate there 2 weeks ago.
missyblurkit – overrated tend to make ppl put high expectation on it. Ohh…I should have order the ramen with egg hoh
Thanks for the heads up! 🙂
I like Santouka ramen too but the one just across the street in Fahrenheit 88 is pretty good also.
What’s the name of the shop?
How you fond the texture of the ramen? It was too soft to my liking on my last visit…
Choi Yen – abit on soft side lor….don’t have that springy texture oso
