Pokemon Store at AEON Putrajaya, IOI City Mall

Aeon has recently opened its 35th Store at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. If you have checked out their latest store.. You’ll find that their Supermarket has wide range of food!! Hehe….

Okay.. Leaving that aside.. I got to know that there’s a Pokemon Corner at this latest Aeon Store leh… It looks as though we were in Japan. Although the corner ain’t really big.. But it consists of Pokemon official merchandise ranging from apparel, toys, plushies, collectibles, gaming Corner (gaole machines) and Nintendo models too.

Pokemon fans definitely go gaga over it! Hence I was there with my son, Jet. He was very excited upon knowing the store.

Located at Level 2 of Aeon Putrajaya.

A short overview of Pokemon Corner
The plushies are so cute!
Charizard looking so macho & Pikachu cars are so cute!
These are blind balls
Pokemon Gashapon(Capsule) Machine. RM6 per token.
Jet tried thrice but failed to get the key chain design that he wanted.
There are 4 units of Pokemon Gaole Machines
The Gaole Machine uses token. RM1 per token. Each game is RM4.

But the downside of using token for Gaole Machine is that… It is very troublesome when the token machine run out of tokens. Because there’s only 1 token machine.. Hence You’ll need to contact the respective person to come over to refill the tokens into the machine.

On going promo and Gift with Purchase. (while stocks last)
Jet chose these 2 figurines to add into his collection
We got this free Pokemon sticker with Purchase of the figurine by Takara Tomy.
Also got this Pokemon Red Ball with Purchase of Keeppley
Some of Jet’s collection.

Ever wonder how to get rid of stuffs when your house has space constraint?

Inspired by the Japanese,it started off with “Recycle Trend” during the 90’s in Japan. It was first created by Bookoff Corporation. Thereafter Bookoff Corporation has expand to more than 800 outlets in Japan and overseas.

Japan is a rich nation where people are able to earn high income but lack of personal storage. Hence it is necessary for them to sell fairly new stuff at ‘Preloved’ store.

Preloved is defined as previously owned or used. This concept will create a better environment and less wastage too.

Lunch @Zang Toi Cafe, Freeport A’Famosa Outlet

**NO LONGER AVAILABLE**

A visit to Zang Toi Cafe at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet, sometime ago…

Zang Toi Cafe may not be something new to KL folks. Although I’ve been hearing about the affordable price set lunch and how good about the banana chocolate cake, but this was my first time trying it here. HAHAHA….. 😀 😀 *paiseh*

Zang Toi Cafe is the ULTIMATE culinary experience with menu carefully curated by the designer himself.

Styled after Zang Toi’s Upper East Side’s apartment, the cafe is crafted into a chic and and elegant outlet, and to exudes the very essence of the Zang Toi brand. It is collision between fashion and food world.

menuSet lunch are priced at RM18.90+ onward. Inclusive of a drink, main course and a dessert. Which I felt pretty reasonable.

Set lunch comes with a small glass of thirst quencher drink, Zang Toi’s Tea Punch. It was very refreshing and nice. It tasted citrus and minty. Wishing for a bigger glass. :-p

WEST 57TH NASI LEMAK CHICKEN

Nasi Lemak served with condiments. Rice and sambal were quite nice. However the fried chicken was quite dry. Probably over-frying.

WEST 57TH NASI LEMAK RENDANG CHICKEN

That piece of rendang chicken was kinda small, I felt. But the taste of it was alright.

ORIGINAL HAINANESE CHICKEN CHOP

I personally like the Hainanese Chicken Chop. Deep fried chicken (not boneless) with sauce served with coleslaw and generous amount of crinkle fries.

Jumbo Sausage with Cheese and Mayo (ala-carte)RM15
Served on NYC Soft Toasted Bun
Iced Cappuccino (ala-carte) RM8.50
For dessert, we were served with BANANA CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH ICE CREAM. This is also their signature dessert. Loving their banana chocolate cake very much. Its so rich, chocolaty and moist. Banana+Chocolate lover would love this cake.
On the other hand, another set lunch was served with LIME TEA CAKE, which turn out to be a disappointing one. It was dry and crumbly.
Apart from Zang Toi Cafe, you can shop and dine at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet. However the dining choices are quite limited. There’s Papparich, Merry Brown & KFC.
The outlet is set in an open air mall featuring a lake, fountains, carousel and windmill with architecture loosely themed on Malacca’s Dutch heritage.
Adults with children can go on a free merry go round (carousel) ride here.
Selfie with Jet while waiting for grandma who’s doing shopping here.
Comparing Freeport with Mitsui, I preferred Mitsui Outlet lar.
Pros:-
Nice colorful buildings
Got water fountain & free carousel ride
Cons:-
Aircond only available when you step into shops
Brand selections are quite limited.

Our bandeau and triangle bikinis are free size. Which basically means that if you are smaller it will cover up more and if you’re bigger the bikini will cover up less . If you’re concern about the sizing, please opt for the “tie-on-the-back” ones, as they are adjustable to any size.

My 1st Purchase from ZALORA

I’m sure most of you especially the ladies heard of ZALORA’s advertisement through radio and tv. Zalora is an online fashion shopping mall and they offer free delivery. Does their advertising manage to tempt you to buy anything from their online store? I do purchase online goods. But mostly are clothes and accessories. I’ve never tried purchasing any shoe online. I was afraid the size does not fit well for my feet. Though the measurements, length size were given.. but our feet width may varies too. Then I have some friends whom purchased few pairs of shoes from Zalora, are quite satisfied with their goods.

Recently when I purchase a cup of bubble milk tea from Chatime, I received this RM30 voucher. Then I thought the rebate is quite a big amount too. Therefore I decided to check their website to buy a pair of shoe. Zalora is smart! There is a term & condition upon using this voucher. ‘Minimum purchase of RM60 !’

Follow steps below to make your purchase. (require to register an account before proceed) – steps are given by Zalora FB page.

STEP 1 – After selecting your desired product, select size and proceed with clicking the “Buy it now” button. Remember, the estimated delivery time is stated on each product page.

STEP 2 – In the order list page, you may view all the products you have selected. For those using coupon codes, fill in the code and click “Use”. Once you’ve finalized your purchases, click “Checkout” to go to the “Checkout” page.

STEP 3 – Add your billing address and delivery address in the space provided under customer information. Next, choose your desired payment method. You will be directed to another landing page depending on the payment method you opt for. For those who opt for Cash on delivery, you may have to select the time and date you wish your package to arrive.
You still have a second chance to enter the discount coupon code again here.

STEP 4 – Once the order is placed, you’ll see an “Order Received” page with details of your order including your Order Confirmation Number, along with other information.
You will also receive an order confirmation letter in your email. Here, the products you have purchased will be listed, along with your Order ID and estimated delivery time.

I then fall in love with this pair of shoe. Just like ‘love at first sight’. hehehe….Love the color. Love the print. But the price is RM59.90. Alamak! Haven achieve RM60 pulak…@_@

Then I continue browsing their website and I found this. I thought it may be suitable for me to wear to work. So, at the end of the day..I bought 2 pairs of shoes.

As you can see those numbers below the ‘Choose your size’ is your shoe size that you are suppose to select. When you click on the numbers, it will eventually show you the total available pairs. I do not consider myself lucky as I was picking the last pair. *Risky* To know why? Continue reading…. 😉

On the following day after my purchase, I received an email from Zalora notifying that my parcel has sent out…attached with tracking number together with this sentence :- “This shipment contains 1 item out of 2 total items you ordered.”

I was wondering..how come 1 but not 2? So, I waited for the parcel. Delivered to my office. True enough only 1 pair. Therefore I made a phone call to Zalora to inquire about it. Only then I was told the black heel is ‘out of stock’. Aiyooo…should have at least call and inform me lor…I then ask them to resolve the matter that I’ve paid for the shoe. She apologized and promised to email me the store credit of equivalent amount (RM32.90) valid for 1 year. And I’ve received it the next day.

Parcel arrived in good condition.

Ta daah..my box of shoe. Small box in a big box =p

A return slip just in case your shoe has defect or you want to change the size.

I’m very satisfied and happy with my pair of shoe. Quite comfy and the material is quite soft too.

I thought of pairing this pair of sock with the shoe. But I see the color doesn’t match lah. That gives me a good reason to buy another pair of sock. hehe…BTW..I got this pair of sock from Daiso for just RM5.

Bangkok 5D4N & My Shopping Haul

To summarize my BKK trip, I will try to make it simple. Actually we do not have a proper itinerary. Moreover things were planned kinda last minute. hehe…But Ashley being the well-organized person she will jot down most of the info.  I am good at pointing out the places we should visit, but I don’t think I’ll be able to travel F&E without her. 😀

Day 1

Fly to BKK by MAS (food served in MAS sucks big time!). Then we arrived Suvarnabhumi Airport, BKK at 10.15am, walked quite far to claim our luggage. At the airport, please read clearly on the directions. Or ask for directions to get to get Airport Rail Link. Hence, do not forget to grab some maps. Because some maps may attached with discounted coupons. (ie: discount 20% entrance fee to Siam Ocean World). Our accommodation place is at Bangkok City Hotel. To get to the hotel, we took Airport Link, take the City Line (Blue), cost 15 Baht, from the airport, take off at the last station, Phayatai. After you get off at Phaya Thai, purchase a ticket to Ratchathewi station. It is only one station, costs 15 Baht. When you reach Ratchathewi station, please take Exit 3. Exit 3 is the direction to go to reach Bangkok City Hotel. Walk for about 5 minutes until you reach an intersection, turn LEFT at the intersection. Don’t cross the road, just turn left. Walk for another 5 to 8 minutes and you’ll reach Bangkok City Hotel which is on your left. – source from Ashley

Hotel Review – Bangkok City Hotel.

– By noon, we took a cab from our hotel to Siam Paragon (less than 60 baht). You may also reach here by BTS. At Siam Paragon, we decided to have our late lunch at Paragon Food Hall.

– After the satisfying lunch, we went to Siam Ocean World located at Basement floor of Siam Paragon. An aquatic wonderland the size of three Olympic swimming pools, claimed as one of the largest aquarium in Southeast Asia. Over here, you may purchase a package which includes the entrance to Madame Tussauds. Remember the map attached with 20% rebate? I use that to get discount on the entrance. Siam Ocean World (Super Pack) for 900 baht. (Inclusive of Aquarium, 4D theatre, Glass-bottom boat, happy fish happy feet (fish massage), back of the house tour, and Pepsi & popcorn) 4D show was below average. While the popcorn is not nice. Well, the aquarium is worth visiting. For complete album, click HERE

– After a tiring day, before we had our dinner…we went for foot massage few doors away from our Hotel for just 200 baht! For 1 hour.

– Next, our dinner nearby our hotel. (Choose the one with more crowds and more locals).

All of us except Wanyi were enjoying our foot massage. ^^

Day 2

Chatuchak Market (Click HERE for the full info)

– By evening, we went to Chinatown Bangkok by cab (from Hotel, less than 50 baht). At Chinatown, you will feel as though you are at a real Chinese town. Some of them can speak Chinese too. Generally there are nothing much for you to shop here.

How to get to Chinatown. Click HERE

Chinatown

Our Dinner at T&K Seafood(The green shirt troop). Fresh and delicious seafood with reasonable price. It may be crowded, but they work efficiently!

Our dessert. Walked along the main road, spotted a mini lorry parked at the road side with many durians. Bought a pack of Mango sticky rice and Durian sticky rice for total of 150 baht. Dirt cheap with incredibly sweet and generous amount of mango. While durian is so creamy.

Day 3

Maeklong Railway Market Bangkok. Click HERE for full info.

Coconut Sugar Farm & Damonen Saduak Floating Market. Click HERE for full info.

Wat Saket (Temple of the Golden Mount). Click HERE for full info.

MBK Shopping Center Bangkok

at MBK Shopping Center Bangkok, there is a food court named MBK Food Centre (located at 6th floor). Varieties of food served here. You are required to purchase coupon from the counter there before you order food from the stalls.

While shopping here…hmm..I don’t quite like. Its quite similar to our Sg. Wang & Berjaya Times Square.

– By evening, we return to Paragon Food Hall for second round of food. Because the food court here is so huge! You can never get enough.

– After dinner, head on to Siam Square Outdoor Market (which is just across the road. Opposite of Siam Paragon).

Its like a fashion pasar malam. Stalls are set up here every evening. Despite the humid weather and sweaty feeling, I like shopping here. Clothes, watches, shoes, bags, earrings, necklace, accessories, and many more at a good price. Some may require a lil bargaining. Can you imagine you can get a denim shorts for just 200 baht! Its not poor quality okay. And their fashion sense…so update!

Blog to refer; click HERE.

Day 4

Platinum Mall (walk from Bangkok City Hotel, around 15 minutes). Its a very huge mall. More like a wholesale mall. You may purchase 1 item. But you will prefer to get more than 2 item from one shop in order to be entitle for a wholesale price. Which gives you a better bargain. Shop till drop here!

Address: Petchaburi Road, Pratunam
Opens daily from 9am to 8pm
Website: http://www.platinumfashionmall.com/pfront8/
Getting Here: BTS Siam, BTS Chitlom, BTS Ratchatewi – 10-15 minute walk to the mall.

Central World

(located next to Platinum Mall-walking distance). Here, you can shop for branded goods. Seeing the price is not much different from KL, so we just window shop. hehe….

Address : CentralWorld 999/9 Rama 1 Rd., Patumwan, Bangkok 10330 Thailand

BTS: Chit Lom station. So, go on sky walk between Chit Lom and Siam station.

Website

Day 5

– Our flight to KL is in the afternoon. Therefore, we only able to go to TESCO Lotus Bangkok. A hypermarket just like Malaysia. Came here to buy some Thai instant noodles! hheeh…Bought 1 whole box and several packets of tom yam & duck instant noodles.

My 2nd Camera Bag

I like taking photos, but am not a photographer. Its just the passion in me. Therefore at times, I’m carrying a camera bag as frequent as a ladies handbag. To store my one and only precious cam.

Am a proud owner of my CRUMPLER 5 Million Dollar Home. – a very durable camera bag which I first own back at year 2010. Since camera bag has became my regular usage, therefore I want something more fashionable. Where it matches my dressing when I go for any outing.

A net friend suggested me to this online shopping website. (for fashionista photographers). Thanking him, I found what I want!

With an affordable price of RM120, I purchased a nice camera bag, just as what I’m looking for……

The front view.

(Dimension : Length 34 CM x Height 22.5 CM x Width 12.5 CM)

Back View – with wide slip pocket.

Adjustable Strap & Stylish Buckles.

With 2 front pockets, I can store my compact powder, lip balm, a tube of mint lozenge, face tissue and also a cellphone.

Its spacious. Able to fit my 550D and also additional 1 to 2 mid range zoom lens. The thick cotton inner padding is removable too.

How does it look? Not bad huh…..

Interested? Refer to this page—-> FAME CHeRRY :: taste the sweetness

MEL was at The *Click* Shop, Pavilion KL

Interested on Film or Lomo? Instant photos? Or anything that has to do with funky cameras.

The *Click* Shop will be your designated place. It was first opened at SS2 since  1st April 2009. Huh….April Fool’s day? Hahaha…

At Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL is the 2nd outlet which opens on July 29, 2011.

All this while I only had a glimpse through their website. Therefore I’m very curious and anxious to take a tour there.

“Song Song” is the shop icon. See how crowded it was.

Mel busy posing with ‘Polaroid’ & Superheadz at the *wall of fame.

A full set of Diana

It was fun exploring new stuff. Can touch, can see, can compare.

Holga 135 Series

Hmm…checking out on Diana F+ Mr. Pink……COOL!

I’m trying to tempt Alex to get me one!

I’m so blank

Still blank. Question Marks…I can’t make up my mind which to choose. Any idea?? Everything is so nice and attractive. I am so tempted by the colors!

SO COLORFUL! Spent half an hour there but came out empty handed =_=

My niece said; “So many adults here…and I look so tiny…”
