Hand toss Pizza topped with Cream Sauce Base, Mozzarella Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, Fresh Shrimp and Broccoli topped with Sun-Dried Tomatoes.

Hands up if you are a thin crust lover. Pizza at Jigger & Shaker met the criteria of thin crust pizza.

Full concentration. The baristas were seen preparing our drinks.

Barista putting some final touch to our cocktail drink.

Varieties of drinks were served here. Be it alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. How knowledgeable are you into cocktails. It seems the House Cocktails are one of the specialty here.

Not any classic cocktails that we used to hear, but a twist in flavors and ingredients. At Jigger & Shaker, they served craft cocktails. Where element is handmade or tailored specifically to the drink. If you look at the menu, there’s a long list of cocktails. 🙂

Matcha Chocolate Lava Cake with Green Tea Ice Cream

Chocolate lovers would love this. Ideal to be eaten immediately when its served warm. Check out the oozing rich and chocolatey, chocolate lava.

Worried about getting bored? Fret not. Live band from Art Trio Acoustic Band will keep you entertained on weekends (Friday – Sunday) from 8pm-12am.

I was told that this is the Valentine’s Day set menu. Sounds delicious. Since they are trying to maintain the food quality, thus it is only limited to 20 couples.

Chef Sam, being the main chef, also an important person behind the kitchen, is serious in his culinary skills ensuring the quality of food. It was a pleasure to meet the person who put much effort in serving us the food.

Dinner & Sunset @Yellow Cafe Langkawi

I did some homework few days before traveling to Langkawi. Just in case I do not want to end up paying hefty price for some lousy food.

I found out about this place which located along Pantai Cenang having quite a numbers of positive feedback in terms of environment and food. Therefore this place has to be in my itenary. Yellow Cafe is like a hidden gem. Without a signboard of its name, I doubt I could locate it. It is situated beside Langkapuri Inn passing through the rooms of Langkapuri Inn to locate this cafe.

The owner of this cafe decided to name his cafe as Yellow Cafe based on a nickname ‘Yello’ he gotten from Thailand. Simple and easy to remember isn’t it?

Using yellow as its theme color, we are expecting to see yellow here and there. 😀 😀

“Yellow Cafe is divided into three dining concepts: the Steak House Restaurant is comprised of an indoor section with dark wooden furnishings; the Cocktail Bar offers large comfortable sofas, while the Beach Front Lounge is perfect for lounging with a number of triangle Thai pillows, plush beanbags, and hammocks.”

My friend and I decided to sit here and this was our view. I could feel the fine sand below my feet. 🙂

You can also watch the ongoing beach activities. E.g: para sailing, banana boat.

Our surrounding.

A cold beer with nice view feels so good.

At Yellow Cafe, they served mostly western food. Considering this area as tourist spot, the food prices are considered affordable. Their non pictorial menu was rather simple and straight forward.

We ordered a 12″(30cm) size pizza. I chose Tacchino (Turkey Ham, Mozarella, Olives, mushroom, tomato sauce) RM31

The pizza had a very thin crust. Buttery & crisp. The toppings were sufficient to cover every slices of pizza we had.

There were only 2 types of spaghetti served here. The bolognaise would be rather common. Therefore I chose the latter. I ordered for Spaghetti Serena (Chicken & Mushroom)RM24

The al-dente spaghetti was tasty, creamy but not cloyed. The amount of mushrooms and chicken were quite generous too.

Both dishes were on sharing basis. I enjoyed the food here. The food prices here ranges from RM20 – RM60.

The atmosphere here at night.

During peak periods, the cafe also hosts live bands performing a variety of music genres such as reggae and salsa.

Well, be prepare for the sunset view. The sunset here was around 7.30pm. Quite late huh..

The sunset at ‘Andaman Sea’

Beautiful, isn’t it?

*nice stuffs are worth waiting, but they won’t stay long either*

Lunch @Italiannies, The Gardens Mall

My latest meet up with my girlfriends was lunch at Italiannies, The Gardens Mall. It has been a long time since the last time I dine in Italiannies. I had a good experience with the food and service at Italiannies, Sunway Pyramid back then.

Italiannies, The Gardens has relocate to this new location. One floor below the previous location. Pretty spacious.

Nic and I arrived first. So, we decided to get a seat while we wait for Ash & Yi to come. While waiting, we were served with these complimentary bread. Next to it is a plate filled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

This is currently new on their menu. 7 wonders of pizza. Upon ordering pizza from this menu, you can add on drink (mountain dew pitch black) or dessert (panna cotta) at a cheaper price.

We chose Barbeque Smoked Duck Pizza (RM35.90)

Smoked duck breast with a barbeque base, topped with peaches, onions, chili flakes, mozzarella cheese & arugula.

Thin and crispy crust. I like the smoked duck breast. But I thought the topping could be a lil extra. Don’t you think the topping is too sikit?

Quattro Platter (RM37.90)

A combination of risotto balls, calamari, fried lemon cheesy balls and zucchini strings. Complete with Marinara sauce and Alfredo sauce for dipping.

This was served as ‘starters’. Quattro Platter is ideal for sharing. I like everything that was served on this plate. Except for fried lemon cheesy balls. I find that the cheese taste was too strong. May be because I’m not really a cheese person 😀

Classic Carbonara (RM37.90) Regular

Fettuccine pasta tossed in Parmesan cream sauce with smoked beef bacon chicken and fresh button mushroom.

The al-dente Carbonara Fettucine was nice and not too cloying. However we were quite surprise that a popular Italian restaurant uses ready made pastas that we could easily purchase in boxes from the supermarket instead of doing from scratch. Is this a common practice in other Italian restaurants too?

Nic kept her promise and brought us her homemade kimchi. It was very nice. I had almost half of it. hahaha…. *janji ditepati*! TQ Nic 🙂

Ash on the other hand also planned to bring some muffins. Unfortunately, she said the result of her muffins were not pretty. So, she decided not to bring. Its okay….. we can still sample them in future rite? hehe….

Overall : The food was not bad. Unfortunately the service was quite bad. In terms of when we asked for a glass of plain water, we gotto ask again and again from different person because its like so difficult to serve a glass of water. When came to bill…. we were told dunno what system was down. So, they gotto do manual calculation, via calculator. Calculate the wrong amount for us! Aduhhh….

Let’s not ruin the day with some petty stuffs. Our group photo together with our ‘big boss’ Abel jai! LOL!

We saw benefit was having a roadshow and there was a nice pastel color backdrop. We thought it would be nice to use as the background for our group photo. Unfortunately we couldn’t ‘catch’ anyone to take photo for us. So, we ended up cam-whoring ourselves. LOL!

4 siao char bo having cam-whore!! 😀 😀

The so-called ‘food marathon’ to celebrate my birthday!

Our initial plan was to eat, window shop and watch a movie.

I was suppose to wake up at 9.30am. And as usual I will wake up earlier then Alex…because I very ‘MO’. We also planned to go out at around 10.30am.

Unfortunately….I missed the alarm, I overslept and suddenly awake, realized it was already 11.30am!! OMG!! We’ve missed our breakfast session!!

I got up quickly, groom myself (apply ICI paint, etc..). By the time we arrived Pavilion, KL already noon. Haihh…Therefore Alex and I decided not to watch movie, instead we had a so-called food marathon. But only began from lunch. 😀

I brought along my copy of Worthy Book and decided to utilize it.

Too bad that I’ve not tried the original ones in Hong Kong. Therefore I can’t make the comparison.

Good lighting. Perfect for photographs. Ya…I am a dreamer! kekeke…

Talk to the food first…. ^_^

4) Lot 10 Hutong

I’ve blogged about Lot 10 Hutong sometime ago. I thought it would be a great place for dinner with good choices of food from varies states. Especially the Hokkien mee from Petaling Street. I don’t need to go all the way to Petaling Street to eat that. I can get it here. Though the price is slightly higher..but I can eat comfortably arr…

(Petaling Street Kim Liam Kee) Hokkien Mee – RM8.90

Glossy and cukup hitam is my choice of hokkien mee. And of course with the sufficient ‘wok hei’.

Penang Char Kuey Teow with Duck Egg (Ho Weng Kee) – RM9.80

A plate of char kuey teow consist of Chinese sausages, plump juicy cockles, fat bean sprout and 2 pcs of average size prawn.

Lunch @ Pasta Zanmai, Midvalley Megamall

Last month we had a complete 5 jimui gathering. Myself, Ashley, Wanyi, Nic & Vivi. Nic suggested Pasta Zanmai which is located at 1st floor of Midvalley Megamall. Pasta Zanmai is the sister of Sushi Zanmai. It was my first time dining here, same goes to most of them. Therefore we went ahead with the plan. The name comes with the word ‘pasta’, true enough the menu mostly consist of pastas!

It was 12pm and its already lunch time. I see the restaurant is quite full. But no problem in getting a table for 5 of us.

These chopsticks come in a handy way. Since its a wooden chopstick, I assume it will be thrown after usage. ^^

After reading the menu and place our orders, then we would like to order Green Tea for our drink. *sweat* Didn’t know order green tea also can be so much of hassle. Here’s the conversation….

We : Would like to order a jug of green tea with 5 empty glass pls. Bcos there are 5 of us.

Waitress A : Sorry, we can only give 3 glasses for a jug of green tea. But the green tea is refillable.

We : But there are 5 of us! So, if a jug is for 3 person, how about we order a jug of green tea and another additional 2 cups of green tea?

Waitress A : Sorry, we don’t serve green tea in cup.

We : *started to get benggang already* Fine! Then just 1 jug of green tea.

Then we asked from another waiter who brought us the jug of tea, whether can he bring us another 2 empty cups. He then answered “I can’t do that. But I can bring 2 cups of plain water for you”. Well….at least he gave us a better option! Thank you.

Agedashi Tofu (sorry, forgot the price). Tofu was smooth but the gravy was quite salty!

The beautiful runny egg + teriyaki chicken + rice, stir well…it result was quite good.

The food above comes in a set of 2 items (serving size – average). There are several sets for you to choose. We chose 3 different sets to be shared among us. So sorry that I’ve forgotten the names. And I forgotten to keep the receipt. (Duno busy doing what oso @_@). But I do remember each set are price at RM25. The overall taste was not too bad la…but I minus marks due to the inconsistency spaghetti. Not well cooked. Some were still hard! Their pizza is the only thing I like. Thin and crispy crust. 😉

Time to feast! :-p

Vivi and Nic left earlier. Ashley, Wanyi and I felt thirsty later. So, we thought why not drop by Snowflake for a bowl of dessert and a drink. *As usual…the place was crowded! Need to grab a seat 😦

We tried Ocha’Ryo (RM7.90), new in their menu. The shaved ice (bottom) is made of green tea. It was quite smooth, feels as though I was having green tea ice cream. Topped with red beans, baby pearls and black sesame balls.

I also ordered a cup of Lime Jade Jelly Green Tea (RM5.50) for myself.

*why my face looks so tired here huh??*

Yeah…TGIF and long weekend! A toast to everyone! 😉

Off Topic: Understand that its going to be a long Raya break for most of the Malaysians…wish everyone Happy Holidays and Selamat Hari Raya. These few days while driving to and from work, I noticed there’s many road accidents on highway. Please remember to drive safely on road.

Lunch @ Delicious, Mid Valley Megamall

Often heard about this place. Used to passed by this place. But have not tried their food. When I meet up with both my UNI buddies, Sheima and Susan at Midvalley…Sheima then suggested this place, Delicious..a chain store.

I thought it would be a…good idea!

At Delicious, you may choose to dine indoor or outdoor. Outdoor look more spacious to us, so we decided outdoor. This place seems cozy.

The bright exterior creates beautiful and contrast outcome. I like the way they furnished their restaurant.

Makcit Sheima and her handsome son, Afy reading the ‘no photos attached’ menu.  Sheima and I often call each other ‘Makcit’. Because we both are so ‘auntie’. LOL

Their menu is so simple! Just names and prices.

Aglio Olio Spaghettini + Add Seafood = RM24.80

Something light and simple. Prawns were fresh and crunchy. However squids were …hhmmm…’rubbery’! Not recommended.

Napolicious a Creamy Tomato based Spaghettini with Beef Bacon Chicken StripsRM20.90

Rich in tomato gravy. Serving was quite big too.

Classic Beef Lasagne – RM20.90

Rich flavors, very cheesy and meaty!

Fish & Chips (from Kids Menu) served with Carrot and Cucumber Sticks RM12.90

Crispy Fried Mushroom – RM13.90

I was tempted by the long list desserts printed on the menu. Hardly decide one. If only I could order more. Unfortunately, a wrong choice was made! *sigh.

Berrilicious Chocolate Pavlova – RM13.90  Not recommended.

Appearance can deceive. Looks pretty..but tasted below average.  All I could taste was just the rocky, thick and airy meringue topped with thick cream.  Moreover strawberries are so sour =_=

Both Sheima and Susan are my good friends during UNI days. We took the same course, went to class together, joke together. Moreover Sheima was also my roommate. Both of them are now blessed with 2 kids. Had a great time with them. It was nice to hear from them. Knowing that they are now doing well. Though we hardly meet or talk these days…but we still put an effort to meet. Well its the heart that counts.

Afy is so leng cai…Ya..obviously he knew the camera was onto him =p

Food : 6/10 (good presentation..but some food are just average)

Price : 5/10

Ambiance : 7/10

Dining @ La Flamme, Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills

All of us got the sudden hunger after returned from the mount climbing at Japanese Village and Botanical Garden. Oppss….not mount climbing…should be hills climbing. We returned to Colmar Square by the free shuttle bus. Ohh ya.. a good experience with the shuttle bus. Struggling up the hills, ferrying around 20+ people, with wear tire and broke down just on time it reaches the destination. BRAVO!

It was just around 5+pm and we decided to have our dinner already. Since we had an early lunch, therefore we consider that as a missed meal! Wahahaha…

Who cares anyway. Holiday is all about food and makan-ing. Right??

LA FLAMME;  a sidewalk deli serving pastries, pastas and pizzas.

It ain’t cheap dining here. Anyway, we’ll see what do they deliver.

HAWAIIAN (Large) – RM37

Chicken, pineapple, mushroom and tomato concasse.

MARGHERITA (Small) – RM24

Tomato concasse, mozzarella cheese and mixed herbs

Both pizzas tasted so-so only and the dough was quite dry too. If only the toppings would to be extra, that would be better I guess.

SPICY VONGOLE – RM25

Vongole (Clams), cili padi, ginger, lemon grass in garlic butter sauce.

This fettuccine was good. Not over creamy. More like an Asian flavor pasta. I like the slight spicy from cili padi and ginger with the buttery cream sauce. I actually spoon up and finished the gravy! HEHE…

MARINARA – RM31

Prawn, mussels, fish cube, clam & squid with tomato concasse.

I would say that the sauce was not rich enough. Moreover the Rotini was like not fully cooked and the clams were not so fresh =(

**This meal was not enough for 6 of us…we had another round of dinner at

La Blason (A restaurant serving Malaysian and international specialties). We end up paying another RM55++ for a buffet dinner which was much better ^^

Price : Quite expensive because the portion was small (imposed 10% government tax & 6% service tax)

Service : Poor

Ambiance : Fair

Pizza Hut “WOW SAVERS 50% DISCOUNT”

Pizza Hut is currently having the promotion of “WOW SAVERS 50% DISCOUNT” applicable only on weekdays. When it says 50%, it does sounds quite worth. I can have a meal while enjoy the saving of 50% off the price. However of cause they aren’t stupid to offer everything from the menu with 50% discount. Only selected ones which varies each day from Monday to Friday.

Here are the selected ones. One person is only entitle to order 1 item.

It was quite sometime I did not have a meal at Pizza Hut. I’m going to make use this opportunity.

I love pastas. Therefore I chose to go on Friday. Check out the slashed price from RM10.50 to RM5.25. Cheap right?? You may take a closer look on the “Creamy Carbonara” photo shown above and the real piece I’m having it here. **spot the difference game**

This is the real plate of “Creamy Carbonara” . Sorry to say, the taste is lousy…. And the bread-stick is missing from the plate too!!! Could it be fall somewhere while serving it?? =_=

A bowl of salad we ordered – RM5.50

I love to have alot of thousand island dressing on my salad. Unfortunately their vege started to turn yellowish. Which means not fresh already right??

Triple Platter – RM18.90 (add-on)

Honey BBQ Wings, Masala Spin Roll and Criss-Cut Fries served with cool lime mayo sauce.

The entire meal we had, only the “Triple Platter” was good! *bad bad*
