An Engineer, a daughter, a mother to an adorable child who has passion in photography, food & travel.
My photography covers food, people, landscape....whatever that caught my attention in just a click!
I admired people who actually put effort in food arrangement before presenting it to guests. Presentation gives the first impression.
I love to eat and also sharing it to my readers. I also love to travel. I meant who doesn't? Because that's the time when you are work free. LOL! You don't have to be rich to travel. A local trip is considered as traveling too. What matters most is the time.

Thanks for your visit!
Every year, on 31st October marks the actual day of Halloween. What is your plan today?
Over the centuries Halloween transitioned from a pagan ritual to a day of parties, costumes, jack-o-lanterns and trick-or-treating for kids and adults.
Halloween is celebrated in various and creative ways depending on each country’s cultural influences. The common yet popular among the children would be trick or treat and also dressing Halloween costumes.
This year, I am glad to be able to join a Halloween Theme Dinner.
In conjunction to this spooky celebration, Avillion Admiral Cove has organized a Ghost House Dinner which held at their Bourgainvillae Cafe.
Okay, I tried to put up the best in me… LOL!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Demon, Grim Reapor, Vampire and not forgetting a Hantu Pocong! 😀
Jet was initially feeling excited to go to the party, then repeatedly hide behind me upon seeing the team. He claimed they look scary. LOL!
Do they look scary?
Some of the guests took effort to wear costumes too.
Jet & Grandma
That evening, we began with spooky jungle walk.
Gosh….the Jungle Walk was indeed creepy. Trails was slightly muddy, with scary features and eerie background music. Grrrr….
Pheww…luckily the ghostly path wasn’t that long. After the Jungle Walk, the guests were lead to the dining hall filled with ghostly props.
Much effort they put for the overall setup.
It was a buffet dinner. Guests were served with varies food from starters to main course then desserts.
Entertained by Live band performance during the dinner session.
The Halloween Ghost Team
The show did not end there. We even got a chance to watch a spectacular fire show by The Vampire Team! Everyone enjoyed applaud the show.
Honestly, I’m not really a baking person. LOL!
Because I felt there is so much hassle in baking. Or probably I am lazy. 😀
Recently, Jet asked me about baking cupcakes and he wanted to decorate the cupcakes.
I stumbled upon this Cupcake Decoration Workshop organized by Pastime, collaborated with Sugarcraft by milwhich held at Book Garden Seremban Gateway.
I then signed up for Jet and myself. It was just a few hours workshop. But I noticed Jet enjoyed it and he did most of the steps by himself with a lil guidance from the teacher and me.
One day, when I was doing shopping at Jaya Grocer The Gardens Mall, I chanced upon this box of Thomas & Friends Cake Kit. It was placed at the baking section. The instructions sounded simple and easy with everything included in the box. (except egg). So, I took a box and decided to give it a try.
We did this over the weekend to fill our time.
Cake Mix Ingredients.
It says 10 minutes to make and 12 minutes to bake. So in total will be less than 30 minutes.
This pack contains ; cake mix, icing mix, decorations and cake cases.
All I need was just a medium size egg and water. Then mix them up. Hand whisk the batter till creamy.
Spoon equal amount of batter into cake cases. I only filled half of each cases.
Wow…it was golden brown and smells good too. (Pre-heat oven to 165°C Then baked in the center of oven for 12 minutes)
While letting the cakes to cool, lets do the icing mix. Just add cold water and mix until its smooth. Begin with adding 10ml water, then gradually add water if you prefer the icing to be more spreadable.
Yay, the cakes are now ready for decorations. Furthermore the cakes rise very well, aren’t they?
Jet’s most interesting part was to decorate the cupcake.
I spread the icing, while Jet did the decorations. Patiently arranged the stars. (Everything on the cupcake is edible, except for the cases ya)
Ta daa…all done! He was proud to tell that he made the cupcakes. LOL!
Not bad wo, this cupcake mix. Tasted nice too. Nevertheless Jet had fun. So, next time can buy again. HAHA!
As long there’s a space in your tummy to fill, you can eat non-stop in Bangkok. So much food to try in Bangkok.
I often see friends who visited Bangkok, definitely dropped by this Dessert Cafe. It is well known for its Shibuya Toast.
After You dessert café first opened in 2007. Till today, there are about 30 outlets opened around Bangkok.
My last year’s trip to Bangkok, I didn’t get the chance to come here because I went to Hello Kitty cafe instead, my favorite Sanrio character. So, this year’s trip I told my friend to include this cafe into our itinerary.
Little did I know, After You Dessert Cafe, Siam Square One is actually next to Hello Kitty Cafe. LOL LOL!! At the main entrance, one is on the left, and the other is on right. 😀
As I entered the cafe, I could see almost all seats are filled. The atmosphere look alike in Korea. 🙂
Over here, you gotto queue up at the counter to make orders. Kinda like self service. But they will bring the food over to your seating table.
Even though it looks crowded, but food was served not long after we placed our order.
I looked at tables around me, they would order either toast or kakigori (bingsoo) or both of them. All the desserts actually looked so mouth-watering and instragram worthy 😀
Ice water is available for free.
Extracted from the website, there are total 9 types of Shibuya Honey Toast here (1 is missing from the frame, Strawberry Cream Toast).
I chose the Shibuya Honey Toast(195 baht), a rather classic one because I wished to taste the originality.
Now I understand why people like their toast so much. Although the toast is thick, but it is not dry inside. Crisp outside but has a very smooth and moisture bread texture inside. Cut into blocks, every surface is spread with margarine. It was so nice eaten together with the vanilla ice cream.
My friend also ordered the Chocolate Lave(175 baht).
Dive in your fork and watch the chocolate flow. The chocolate filling was rich and smooth. However I felt the size is abit small lar. 😀
Durian Crumbstick(95 baht) looking interesting. Therefore we ordered one to kill our curiosity. Shaped like a real durian pulp, but its actually an ice cream. Very smooth and rich durian flavor, for durian lovers.
For drinks, I had Hot Cappuccino (115 baht) served with a piece of biscuit, while my friend had Iced Latte.
Merchandises like T-shirt, Tote Bags and Stainless Steel Cup are sold here too.
I will definitely come for the Toast again if I visit Bangkok next round. There are so many nice cafes in Bangkok now. So, if you are a cafe hopper, do plan it well. 🙂
Oh ya, there’s also a small kiosk of After You Cafe at Don MueangAirport. But it only serve cakes and kakigori.
When talk about science, I will remember about the white lab coats, microscope and the famous scientist Albert Einstein and his equation E = mc2.
Well, Science is the study of the nature and behavior of natural things.
Last weekend, I attended the opening day of Kiddo Science 12th outlet, also the newest outlet in Seremban 2. Kiddo Science is a learning centre having a Vision to empower children in the world to explore and discover Science through fun and hands-on experiments and a Mission to create a conducive environment for kids to explore, experiment and participate in self-discovery intelligence.
Kiddo Science has 12 centres throughout Malaysia.
Established in 2005, KIDDO SCIENCE aspires to promote science to children in a fun way. Kiddo Science “brings science to life” by allowing children to not only learn science but also feel it, making science discoveries an enjoyable adventure.
In order to make science more enjoyable, thus Kiddo Science practices these methods.
Hands-on Experiments: Full laboratory equipment and apparatus for children to experiment every week.
Holistic Learning: Not just teaching from book; but make things interesting with labsheets, fun facts, life applications, and most importantly, EXPERIMENTS!
Bring Science Home: Lessons do not stop at centre; let your child continue to explore with the experimental products at home with you.
Science Projects: Every child loves to be involved in a big and fun project; at KIDDO SCIENCE, they were given the opportunity from time to time!
During the opening day, Children as young as 4 years old till the age of 14 who signed up for the free trial class were given a tour and introduction towards science by the team of Certified STEM Teachers.
The experiment of Van de Graff generator, an American physicist Robert Jemison Van de Graaff invented the Van de Graaff generator in 1931. A Van de Graaff generator is a device designed to create static electricity . When the Van de Graaff generator starts charging, it transfers the charge to the person who is touching it. Since the person’s hair follicles are getting charged to the same potential, they try to repel each other. This is why the hair actually stands up.
During the trial lesson, children are divided into 3 classes according to their age range.
At Kiddo Science, the program levels are:-
Introductory Science (age 5~7 years old). Children as young as age 4 are welcome to join as long they could understand instructions.
presenting theories in fun and highly interactive ways.
developing their motor skills (coordination, precision, technique) which will improve their attention to detail.
nurturing their interest from a young age and thus cultivating inquisitiveness and open-mindedness.
Discovery Science (age 7~10 years old)
honing their ability to think scientifically when exploring new knowledge.
increasing their confidence through exposure to the critical aspects of science, such as chemical reactions and laboratory precautions.
introducing key scientific terminology and concepts in three languages: English, BM and Mandarin.
Experimental Science (age 10~12 years old)
providing them the proper training in laboratory equipment, apparatus and technique to improve their experimental skills.
giving them hands-on opportunities to “create” science they have learned.
preparing them to familiarize with secondary school syllabus, thus giving strong foundation before facing major exams.
To make things more interesting, every month they’ll be teaching different themes.
Lead by the co-founder of Kiddo Science, Marcus Ooi, he did some experiments during the opening day. The most interesting one would be the demonstrations using ‘Dry Ice’. Judging from the children faces, he managed to introduce Science to make it more fun and interesting.
Unlike those days, Children these days are very smart. They love to explore and are curious in everything. You will never imagine how much questions they may ask in a day. Therefore an early exposure will provide early knowledge to the children in order to enhance their knowledge too.
There will be another round of Trial Science on 29th July 2018. So, don’t forget to sign up for the one time trial and the good news is there will be 50% off registration fee if you sign up the program on 29th July 2018. Come and get the experience to be a little Scientist. 🙂

Gloomy sky on Sunday. Hence, the weather was really nice to take a stroll at the beach. Took a drive to Port Dickson.
We picked seashells, sat by the beach listening to the sea waves. We also spotted plenty of baby crabs.
However we couldn’t stay long, it starting to get hot as it approaching 11am.
We shall proceed to brunch. Recently found out about this kopitiam when someone shared it on social media. Otherwise I wouldn’t know what to eat during the day in Port Dickson, other than fast food.
(Latest update; June 2023 – PD Fung Hai Kopitiam has relocated and its no longer tasted good as before.)
PD Fung Hai Kopitiam is a Hainanese Kopitiam located at Port Dickson town. Few doors away from Public Bank. I want to give it a try because I love Hainan Chicken Chop. 🙂
The kopitiam was crowded upon our arrival. Luckily managed to get a vacant table as the previous customer has settled and about to leave.
A lady came over to take our order. She informed us that, Hainan Chicken Chop require some waiting time. I saw some customers eating half way, some were still waiting for their food to arrive.
Charcoal Grill Bread (Roti Bakar) came first to fill our tummy.
Sandwiched in between was kaya spread and a slice of butter. It was nice and old-skool.
I ordered a cuppa Milk Tea (Teh Susu) while the rest ordered Ice Lemon Tea. The Ice Lemon Tea was good.
Mee Hailam came before the rest.
We ordered 2 plates of Hainan Chicken Chop.
Fried de-boned chicken thigh then drenched in brown onion gravy, fried potatoes, tomatoes and peas. Meat was juicy and tender. While the gravy tasted good as well. I felt it was worth the wait. We enjoyed eating this Hainan Chicken Chop. Moreover I like that they served it with lots of gravy! 😀
Singapore Fried Mee Hoon may not look good in appearance. Furthermore it look lumpy. But has the ‘wok hei’ and tastiness is there.
Verdict : We waited quite sometime for the food to arrive. I think the kitchen could not manage big volume. Be prepare for the waiting time especially on weekends. However the food was good. Total bill came to RM47.

Before this, I read many positive reviews about Scarborough Fish and Chips at Tanjung Rhu, Langkawi. Many claimed that their Fish & Chips is very nice.
Therefore during my recent trip to Langkawi, I pay a visit here for some light snacks. Tanjung Rhu is at another end of Langkawi island. Hence driving from Kuah to Scarborough Fish and Chips restaurant, it may take about 30 minutes drive.
This restaurant is quite secluded, road was rather empty and quiet. With few units of chalets along the road. Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is located 1.2km away from this restaurant. Scarborough Fish and Chips restaurant is the blue color house. But you may miss it if you didn’t aware of its signage.
Apart from the fish & chips, the restaurant is located along the beach (Andaman Sea) which is a bonus point.
Apparently Fish & Chips is the specialty here. Made to order with not only one type of fish. But varies from Dory to Salmon which allows diners to choose according to their budget.
On menu, apart from fish there are also choice of meat, pizza and snacks. Not forgetting they also serve an affordable breakfast set from RM10 onward.
I ordered the Deep Fried Snow Fish – RM30.
2 slabs of fish battered with tempura flour was served hot. Flavors was good and its fresh. As you can see it is served with home made chips and some mixed salad as sides.
I also ordered some Chicken Nuggets (RM12) for the kids. The chicken nuggets are not the processed meat that we got from fast food restaurant. But its made of real chicken meat. It was crispy and tender. The kids love it.
The beach here is definitely less touristy compared to Pantai Cenang. Seawater was translucent clear that I could see tiny fishes swimming ashore.
Such a relaxing view. Serene and breathtaking, even the dog is enjoying his relaxing life.
Love this selfie shot I took with the dog. Feel so lovely. A very friendly dog I met. Probably owned by the restaurant owner. 🙂

Opening Hours: Daily 11:00 – 21:00 Location: Lot 1388, Jalan Tanjung Rhu, Langkawi
Early this year, we went for a family trip within Malaysia via flight. It was Jet’s second time boarding on plane since he was 2 years old. But during that time he barely know much. Now he’s more bigger and chatty, he enjoyed the ride and know what’s going on.
As we arrived Langkawi Airport, Jet said, “Mummy, lets look at the map”. 😀
At the airport arrival hall, there is a row of counters offering car rental and travel packages within the island. If you want to save some hassle, you can pre-book before you arrive. For my 3days 2 nights trip, I rented a car from this company. I was given a rate of RM140 (during non-peak season). Meaning its RM70/night. Very good price! However the price may vary during school break or festive holidays. I got a Proton Saga FLX (Auto). I wouldn’t say the car condition was tip top but still acceptable.
Seems like hotels at Pantai Cenang are more expensive. Therefore I changed my mind to book a hotel at Kuah. I got to know about this hotel from my friend who was coincidentally traveling to Langkawi a day later than me. Driving distance from airport to Royal Langkawi Yacht Club Hotel is about 14km (approx. 30 minutes). From Pantai Cenang to Kuah will only need 14.2km. Since we got a car to move about, so I thought staying in Kuah wouldn’t be a problem.
Car Park is available at this premise. But quite limited. Otherwise full, you can opt to park at the opposite car park lot at RM5/entry. It is waiveable for hotel guest.
“Initially it was known as Langkawi Yacht Club. In 1999, the royal patron of the club Sultan of Kedah state conferred the ‘Royal’ title to the club. Over the years, the club has grown in its stature and become one of the top favorites to the yachters from all over the world.”
At year 2015, the club undergone a major renovation. Level-1 there will be a lobby and a reception area. There are total 32 boutique rooms. So, I can say that our room is pretty new. 🙂
Hill View Family Room.
We booked the room for RM622 for 2 nights inclusive of breakfast via Expedia. The 31 m² area room with 2 Queen size bed.
There’s also sufficient space for luggage.
Other amenities are kettle, instant coffee, bedroom slippers, complimentary drinking water in bottle, television, free wifi, refrigerator, in room safe box.
The Family Room does not have seaview but only nature view. We could see monkeys climbing the trees ……………
also spotted the Macho Eagle flying around here. Not one but a few of them.
The bathroom isn’t big. Only standing shower.
Bathroom Amenities.
The Swimming Pool is divided to children pool and adult pool. The swimming pool is onlooking the sea and yachts. What a breathtaking view!
The AL-fresco breakfast area.
The breakfast served was quite simple and not too much varieties unlike some hotels that serve like a feast. But it has the common ones like egg, toast, sausage/bacon, baked beans, hash brown, cereal, yogurt, nasi lemak, juice, milk and coffee.
I like that they served Nasi Lemak Bungkus (nasi lemak wrapped in banana leaf). It was very delicious too.
If you are lazy to drive out for dinner, you can also dine at Charlie’s Bar & Grill. A restaurant serving Western and also Asian food.
Dataran Lang/Eagle Square, one of Langkawi’s best known manmade attractions, a large sculpture of an eagle poised to take flight. This 12 metre-tall statue is one of the island’s most recognizable monuments.
“The reddish-brown eagle at Dataran Lang was built as an emblem of the island. According to folklore Langkawi’s name came from two Malay words – ‘helang’ (eagle) and ‘kawi’ (reddish brown): hence lang-kawi. “
It is just situated 690m away from the hotel.
I enjoyed taking photos of this hotel view, be it during the day or during the sunset. Really love this breathtaking panoramic view. I do not have any complains about this hotel. All of us enjoyed our stay here.
Apart from this, Langkawi is a duty free state. You can buy lots of chocolates and liquor at really good price here. But for liquor there’s a restriction of 1 liter per person in case you are bringing it home.
4 Best Duty Free Outlets are:-
The Zon Shopping Paradise (at Pantai Cenang)
Coco Valley Langkawi ((at Pantai Cenang)
Langkawi Saga Shopping Centre (at Kuah)
Teow Soon Huat Duty-Free Shopping (at Kuah)
We enjoyed traveling together now. Just that traveling with a little one, mummy has to be like a hawk, more alert to guard them. Now, Jet kept telling me to go Langkawi. Looks like he really love this place. I also like Langkawi. This is my 4th time in Langkawi. Its not just an island mainly for snorkeling or swimming. But there’s more to explore.

End of last year I made a short trip to Ipoh for a short gateway.
People said Ipoh has many nice food. Although I spend a day at the theme park, but I try my best to cover as much as I could. In this post, I will share what I had, be it nice or not so nice. 🙂
As soon as I reached Ipoh at around 4pm, our first stop was Ipoh Hor Fun in town.
1) Restoran Thean Chun
Restoran Thean Chun is an old shop located at Ipoh Old Town.
It was crowded during weekend. May be because it is a well known place among tourists.
I noticed that most of the workers here are quite elderly. They are in charge of the drinks.
The one thing that everyone said must try, is the Caramel Egg Custard. I would say its very smooth and nice. But abit tad sweet if you are not into sweet stuffs.
Do not miss a chance to have Ipoh Coffee when you are in Ipoh. The iced coffee is rich.
We also ordered 2 bowls of Kai Si Hor Fun, Steamed Chicken and Ipoh Bean Sprout. Total price was about RM37.
Plate of plump and crunchy bean sprout.
A bowl of Kai Si Hor Fun (flat rice noodle with shredded chicken and prawn. The hor fun was smooth, prawn was fresh while the broth was quite flavorful but not that rich. I felt it was okay, but mom claimed it just average. Its all depends on individual’s palate.
The good thing about Thean Chun is that, it not only serves one food, but it has quite a variation. E.g: Curry noodle, Pork Satay, Popiah. Moreover opposite the restaurant is the tourist spot, The Concubine Lane.
Restoran Thean Chun
Address: 73, Jalan Bandar Timah, 31650 Ipoh, Negeri Perak
Operation Hours: (Open daily) 9.30am – 4pm,
9.30am-12am(Sundays)
Phone: 05-255 3076
2) Tong Sui Kai
Just as the sky gets dark, this street became alive. With long stretch of food stalls on both ways. It is named Tong Sui Kai in cantonese. Literally translated as Dessert Street. Not only serving desserts but wide choice of hawker /street food. If your stomach has big space, then you got the chance to try more food.
We were there at about 7.30pm. Crowd start to build up later at 8pm onward.
Each stall has its own number. Same goes to the dining tables. Please remember your seating table number. You will need to inform the food seller for them to bring over your food.
Assorted Siew Mai & Fishball.
Braised Duck Feet. You can skip this. Because it wasn’t that nice. Meat was tough.
Char Kuey Teow was quite nice. But can’t remember which stall. As we seated, the Char Kuey Teow lady came over to approach us. LOL!
We ordered Kerang Rebus, Keropok with Rojak Sauce and Sotong Kangkung from stall No.28 which I felt quite nice. Then we ordered drinks and Longan tongsui from stall No.27. I didn’t order any shaved ice dessert because nobody wants to share with me 😦

Operation Hours: 6pm – 2am (Open daily)
3) Nam Heong Ipoh Soho
Just before we depart to Lost World of Tambun, we decided to have our breakfast at Nam Heong Ipoh. We thought to give a try at Nam Heong Soho instead of Nam Heong at Ipoh old town.
No doubt the place is cosy, air-conditioned and spacious.
Self ordering basis via iPad.
Drinks are not bad especially coffee.
Wantan Mee – RM9.90
Dry Curry Noodle – RM9.90
Wat Dan Hor – RM10.90
Egg on Toast – RM4.90. Egg on toast is a popular thing in Ipoh.
Egg Tarts (6pcs) – RM12.50
The food prices here are on the higher side. However I felt that the food are just average.
On recent news, Nam Heong Ipoh Soho has brought in 6 robot waitress to serve the diners here. It definitely draw more crowd over the curiosity.

This dim sum restaurant is just a short walking distance from the hotel we stayed. We decided to give a try to Ming Court instead of the popular Foh San which is just opposite to each other. Both are equally crowded.
Ming Court dim sum is pretty ol-skool, from environment to dim sum. I got the feeling that I’m dining in Hong Kong with Cantonese speaking servers, sharing table and crowd.
Servers will fill the tray with dim sums and approach the diners from table to table. You can see the real item and pick your choice of dim sum. Be it deep fried, steam or dessert as well.
The dim sum prices aren’t expensive. Moreover the dim sum tasted good too.

5) Dai Shu Geok (Big Tree Foot)
When you mentioned about Dai Shu Geok, many people would be referring to the Yong Tau Fu. It is actually a food court with Big Tree next to it.
Spotted the busy kitchen with constantly frying the stuffed items (vegetables/beancurd).
Everything looks so nice and tempting. Pick your own stuffed items then fill the basket which later pass to the person in charge either to take away(dapao) or dine there. You can also add on noodles on top of these yong tau fu.
It surprises me when the total bill came cheaper than I expected to be. If I’m not mistaken, the yong tau fu here is priced at RM0.80/piece. In Seremban, a piece of Yong Tau Fu could easily price at RM1 – RM1.30.
If you are having Yong Tau Fu here, do not forget to order their Assam Laksa too.. Which cost only RM3.50/bowl. The above photo was bowls of assam laksa with condiments before adding the broth. The broth was rich in flavors!
Dai Shu Geok (Big Tree Foot)

6) Aun Kheng Lim Salted Chicken
Salted Chicken (Salt Baked Chicken) is a famous dish in Ipoh. At Aun Kheng Lim Salted Chicken, the salted chicken is readily packed so that it is convenient for buyer to bring it home or as a souvenir. In Ipoh, there are many many seller with different names. I have tasted several salted chicken, some were either too salty or the meat was tough. Aun Kheng Lim Salted Chicken is not too salty with hint of Chinese herbs and the chicken meat is tender too.
Price : RM21 (whole chicken)

Address: Ayam Garam Aun Kheng Lim, 24, Jalan Theatre, Taman Jubilee, 30300 Ipoh, Perak
Operating hours: 9am – 7pm (Open daily)

7) Guan Heong Biscuit Shop
Before we leave Ipoh, we decided to drop by Guan Heong Biscuit Shop to purchase some local biscuits to bring it home as souvenir and sendiri makan.
“Guan Heong” is the FIRST BISCUIT SHOP in IPOH town with 100 years of heritage (since 1918) and is famous for its Meat Floss Biscuit, Hawaiian Biscuit and Salted Bean Biscuit.
A small shop that is packed with varieties of biscuits.
I did blogged about their signature meat floss biscuit, sometime ago. You can read it HERE.
Guan Heong Biscuit Shop
Address: Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Taman Jubilee, 30000 Ipoh, Negeri Perak
People usually made a pit stop at Bidor before or after visiting Ipoh. Approximately an hour drive, to try the famous duck noodle here at Bidor. Hence this restaurant can be quite crowded during peak season. i.e: long holidays/long weekends.
At Pun Chun Restaurant, they not only serve Duck Noodle, but there are also wantan mee, chicken rice and local biscuits are available too.
We ordered the soup version as well the dry version (kon lou). RM8 per serving.
For dry version, it will serve with a plate of springy egg noodle in dark soy sauce plus a separate serving of piping hot bowl of herbal duck soup. If you want to have a good taste of the duck soup itself, please avoid ordering the soup version. It taste rather bland. Kinda sad too that the flavors wasn’t as good as I had it 6 years back.
Oh ya, the Iced Coffee is definitely worth ordering.

Ever wonder how to get rid of stuffs when your house has space constraint?
Ever wonder that your unwanted stuffs may be useful to people who could not afford or not willing to spend at retail price?
Inspired by the Japanese,it started off with “Recycle Trend” during the 90’s in Japan. It was first created by Bookoff Corporation. Thereafter Bookoff Corporation has expand to more than 800 outlets in Japan and overseas.
Japan is a rich nation where people are able to earn high income but lack of personal storage. Hence it is necessary for them to sell fairly new stuff at ‘Preloved’ store.
Preloved is defined as previously owned or used. This concept will create a better environment and less wastage too.
Mr. Daichi Shuzuiis the Director of BOK Marketing.
In Malaysia, it is known as Jalan Jalan Japan store. A store selling preloved goods from Bookoff Corporation Japan. I was told that, goods are arriving at the rate of five to six containers a month.
Jalan Jalan Japan first landed at One City Sky Park, USJ on November 2016. Second store at 1 Shamelin Mall, September 2017 and on year 2018 the Seremban folks is expected to see them at Centerpoint Seremban. Feeling anticipated?
Located at this newly refurbished mall is where we gonna find Jalan Jalan Japan store, Seremban.
Welcoming people from all ages to join this shopping spree.
When it comes to shopping, everyone got excited and energized. 😀
With all these Japan goods, it eventually made you feel as though you are shopping in Japan.
Lets begin with stationary section which is on the left hand side as you enter the store.

“Doraemon (Japanese: ドラえもん) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio. The series has also been adapted into a successful anime series and media franchise. The story revolves around a robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a pre-teen boy named Nobita Nobi. “
Doraemon fans would love this New Chitose Airport Terminal at Hokkaido. You can spend hours taking photos with your favorite icon, dine in the cafe, attending workshops, game arcade, and shop till you drop.
This New Chitose Airport Terminal is like a shopping mall. Many food stores, souvenirs shops and gifts stores. However I would not touch much on that, but I am going to focus only on Doraemon. 🙂
First of all, you will be greeted by Doraemon upon arriving the airport. After getting the clearance from custom, luggage section, you will see him.
Entering the ‘Smile Road’ is where we locate Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park. It is located at 3rd Floor.
At Waku Waku Sky park, it is separated into Park Zone, Kid Zone, Library, Workshop, Cafe, Gift Shop and Amusement Zone.
Eventually this was our first stop! LOL! We were like grown up kids. I got fascinated with Japan’s vending machines.
There were 3 different colors. Blue, Yellow and Red.
I got both in Blue color. 😀 😀 While my friend Ashley successfully collected all 3 colors especially for her niece.
Park Zone requires an admission fee of 800yen (Adults) 500yen (Age 13-18) 400 yen (Age 3-12) while children below age 3 is free of charge. At Park Zone, both children and adults are greeted by “secret gadgets”, themed attractions and large Doraemon.
I didn’t pay a visit here, therefore I am not sure whether is it interesting.
Well, if you want to bring home some DIY crafts, do drop by the Workshop station. (i.e: paint Doraemon clay figurine)
The Library is adjacent to the Workshop. You can have some good read on Doraemon comics and books while waiting for your children to complete their workshop.
Kids Zone. A spacious play room for children. And the main attraction has to be the Dorayaki slide!
Amusement Zone. A game corner with lots of Doraemon related prizes. Lapel badges and keychains with photo are also available here.
*are you skillful? 🙂
Getting hungry after much workout? Don’t worry. There’s a Cafe here to serve you. Spacious dining area serving food, dessert and drinks to fill your stomach.
The excitement will not end without visiting the Gift Shop! An official Doraemon merchandise store. Well, prices are cheap though. 😀
Besides that, we also enjoyed the “Stamp Rally”. Feel like a treasure hunt. Complete all stamps at different floors (within New Chitose Airport) then you can claim a free gift. Choose from option A to J.
It was really fun exploring this airport. So, are you a fan of Doraemon? Hello Kitty fans, don’t feel sad ya…because now they also have Hello Kitty Happy Flight le…♥ Too bad it was not ready during our trip. Else we will definitely go gaga!
With all these shops and cartoon characters, you could easily spend at least half a day in the airport. 🙂
