Dinner@Ah Yat Abalone Forum

When we were at Genting the other day; we went to Ah Yat Abalone Forum of First World Plaza. Often sees their advertorial in newspaper. Hence this is my first time trying it. They do have several outlets in Klang Valley.

Dad made decision on the orders. We just eat whatever he ordered. Since we got no idea what to order.

Though it was quite crowded; they still manage to cope with the endless good service. I.e: kept refill your tea.

sauces & nuts

Beancurd with Mushrooms – RM32

mui choi (preserved vegetables), kau yuk (braised belly pork) – RM36

The preserved vege were cooked till soft and the belly pork they served not just fats….you can actually eat the meat.

Cod Fish – RM83

The overall fish meat cooked in soya sauce. Taste good!

Baked Pork Ribs in “Chan Kong” – RM60

I like this dish the meat. As the ribs weren’t too hard nor just bones. Its quite meaty & the sauce coats well on the meat.

Mexican Fresh Abalone – RM420

The cooking method for this dish retained the freshness of the abalone.

I Had a Great Time@Genting Highland

Its a long weekend. Due to the public holiday celebrating Deepavali.

Therefore I planned a family trip to Genting. Couldn’t recall when was my last visit. Few years back?? I think so. Dad made the room reservations. Unfortunately sis called up & said she couldn’t join us. What a disappointed call 😦

**Due to ” SELFISHNESS OF SOMEBODY”!! :@

Had our breakfast cum lunch & departed from Seremban at about 11.40am and arrived safely at the peak at about 2pm. As we reached the peak; we saw several cars broke down & cars were moving bumper to bumper.

Its so difficult to get a car park even if you are staying in the hotel. ITS ALL FULL! Anyway; we got our car parked & check in our luggage into our room. The room is spacious and has a comfy bed! Heard that they have just undergone a renovation.

Deluxe Room of Resort Hotel

From Resort Hotel; we walked to First World Plaza through the link way about 10 minutes apart. Had our brunch at Coffee Bean. It was quite crowded there. Everywhere we walk….there’s just *people mountain people sea*. At about 4pm we walked to the outdoor theme park which is just 1 floor below. What I like most; is the weather is very cooling & breezy. The temperature was at 19 degree. I hardly sweat. Isn’t that nice? 😉

It was about 6.30pm by then. We headed back to First World Plaza for our dinner (next post). Had a nice dinner and got ready for the next schedule. GLITZ!! A Performance by several well known people; Charles Bach (Award Winning Magician from USA), The Mystical Grace of The Huachen Acrobatic Group and Daria Pushankina (Sand Animation Artist from Ukraine). What inspires me the most is the sand animation! She actually can make several arts or figures using sand. She even can do several images of our beloved Michael Jackson.

Phew….back to room, took a bath and went to the casino to try our luck.

CHEH!! Made me lost money…..How I wish I can print money 😀

There goes a tiring day. Am I getting old? As I gets tired fast now…. *sigh*

Dinner @ Restoran Win Loy

We celebrated Michele’s birthday earlier.

Had a simple dinner at Restoran Win Loy which is located just a few minutes drive from home at Seremban 2.

Dinner @ SIL RO AM, traditional Korea Restaurant

Me and my family loves Korea food. So does Alex.

Saw some brochures about this restaurant opening its second brand in Era Walk. Therefore we decided to give it a try. We went for dinner instead of lunch. This Korea restaurant actually runs by Korean. The business was really good on weekend. Night to be precise. Business was good –> Insufficient staff –> Poor service. We were so hungry by then.  It took us 1/2 hour  for our dish to arrive. Moreover with the smell of bak kut teh ;just next to the restaurant makes me even hungrier. (Can’t blame the owner. May be he did not expect it was that crowded.) After all; the food was good.

Studying the Menu. Got the waiter to assist us upon the orders.

The wrapped cutlery

Assorted Korea side dishes. Not allowed to refill. Only kimchi is refillable.

Doi Sok Bi Bim Bap – RM20

Boiled rice with assorted mixture in a stone pot. Well; its taste good.

Sam Gae Tong – RM25

Young chicken stuffed with glutinous rice cooked in ginseng soup. An ideal one to order during cold weather. The soup is very tasty too.

Ber Sek Bok Geum – RM25

Assorted mushroom cooked with vegetable. For mushroom lover; you gotto try this.

Sam Gyup Sal – RM25

Sliced Pork Bacon with fresh salad & sauce.

Grill the pork, cut into smaller pieces, place it on a piece of lettuce, add a small amount of rice, finally some sauce. Roll it and then consume it.

Taa Daah…this is how it looks. Ready to eat lah…

Mel’s Birthday – Part 1

Owww…..sad to know that my 28th birthday has just over.

I’m aging year by year….gosh…time flies really fast without one realizing it..

As usual, I’ll be celebrating my birthday with my family & my loved one.

This year, I spared the earlier weekend to celebrate with my family.

We decided to have dinner at a cafe, which newly opens not long ago. Received some good reviews from friend & colleague. Therefore decided to give it a try. They serves fusion food. (western & chinese).

the very 1st dish. “tom yum soup” ..

not so good…. doesn’t taste like tom yum 😦

pork meat balls……tasty

Spaghetti – delicious

black pepper chicken chop

YOO….We siblings ROCKS!!

Note: This cafe is located in Uptown Avenue, Seremban 2.

I think their western food (those chop chop) so so only. Their chinese food taste nicer….. Out total bill came up to be RM80+ (with drinks). Quite fair lor…each person average less than RM20.

After our dinner; I suggested for 2nd round – ice cream as dessert over in A&W. The place where we able to makan cheap ice creams. Unfortunately, they no longer serves various types of ice creams anymore 😦

Therefore we were restricted to few types only…..*sigh*

I ordered the ‘chocolate ice cream’

with mom, niece, sis & bro

Hubby & I

After all the makan & food, we return home. My mom surprised me with a cheese cake which she made it the day before. Wahhh….I’m so happy & touched.Thank you mummy…thank you everyone!!  😉

CANTON-I of Sunway Pyramid

We were at Sunway Pyramid on Sunday for a family weekend shopping spree.

Then, we decided to have our lunch in CANTON-I because I misses their porridge very much! CANTON-I serves Hong Kong cuisines. (Of course its not so pure as in Hong Kong lorr..). We ordered individual meal instead of set. Upon ordering each of us punya food….the captain whom took down our order kept insist us to order the ‘roast goose’. Therefore we ordered for quarter size. And its not cheap ler….quarter size already RM48, if request for thigh side additional of RM8.  @_@ Moreover she kept insist us to get half bird.(which will be RM88)

when it comes to Chinese cuisine; a pair of chopstick is a must.

Short trip to Melaka

Mel persuaded Alex to bring her for a short trip to Melaka on Sunday. Alex agreed; and Mel jumps up happily. Hoooray…Hooray…Therefore; Mel decided to bring along mummy & siblings as well.

Went for our lunch at around 12pm in City Park; Seremban. Returned home to get our stuff ready for the trip. HOORAY…HOORAY….(again) hahaha….

Started our journey at around 2pm. Was worrying that it might rain in the afternoon or evening. phew….luckily the weather was fine throughout the day. Instead it was flaming HOT!! Reached Ayer Keroh Toll Exit at around 3pm. (thanks hubby for driving. I know its tough to drive under the glaring sun. make people feel sleepy too….never mind..you got good assistant here….she will try to keep you awake. kept talking like a parrot. sure awake one) :-p

Our first destination was to Taman Buaya. yea…I know..I know…sounds awkward to visit there right. Never mind lar….heard that they did some improvement on it already. So, try to check out and see lor…YES; Indeed! They did improvise the place. More nicer cages/aquariums for the crocs, cleaner area, new place for the reptiles. I recalled this park was often a visiting place during school days. The entrance fee without the water park; is RM8.

Left jonker street and return home at around 8pm. SELAMAT TINGGAL!!

The food prepared for BBQ are chicken wings, chicken satay, pork ribs, prawns, vege balls, sausages. The other sidelines are fried mee suah, coleslaw, watermelon.
