Breakfast @Restoran Melido 美丽都茶餐室, Seremban

I must admit that these days I hardly drive down town to explore food in Seremban. When working in Seremban, I usually bring my own lunch from home. Therefore I also don’t need to go out for lunch. On weekends…I often eat somewhere nearby or eat at home when mummy cooks. Why ar? Sometimes I also lazy to go out lar….Seremban is quite heavy traffic on weekends. But of course still can’t compare to KL. LOL! Its very different when you drive to Seremban town during the day and night. The town is like kinda deserted after 9pm.

All thanks to Ivy, of My Story for refreshing my memory about this place. I was reading her blog last week and noticed she wrote about what she had here at Restoran Melido 美丽都茶餐室, Seremban. I recalled this place! But forgotten what I had here before. LOL! *paiseh*

I got tempted to try the yong tau foo that she mentioned RM0.50/piece. Therefore I decided to come here for breakfast, last Saturday.

An old shop located near Pasar Besar Seremban. And if you are Serembanians…I’m sure you know where is the ‘old yellow bus stop’. This is where its located.

Very classic! Proud to see the younger generations (their children) helping their parent’s business.

Yong Tau Foo for RM0.50/piece. Really worth eating! Working non-stop on stuffing and frying them. Too bad the stuffed bittergourd was not available that day.

The fish cake was firm but not hard and nice. No strong fishy taste too. I also like the meatballs (mixture of pork+fish paste). Bouncy and tasty!

Mom had Mee Kicap with 3 pcs. of Yong Tau Foo for RM3.50.

Although the yong tau foo are priced RM0.50/piece…but the fish paste stuffing wasn’t stingy. Look at the stuffed beancurd.

I tried the Hakka Mee – RM3.80 from one of the stall there. It was alright. But agreed with what Ivy said, Tow Kee Hakka Mee is still my favorite pick.

I also ‘dapao’ a pack of Char Siew Rice (BBQ Pork Rice) – RM4.50 for my brother…

and also a pack of Siew Yuk Rice (Roast Pork Rice) – RM4.50 for my late lunch. Hehe….. The chili sauce wasn’t that good. But the rice was fragrantful and the meat were tasty and juicy!

Verdict : Food were served pretty quick. Although it may not be an air conditioned room…but who cares..as long as the food is good and affordable. Bring additional pack of tissue lo… :-p

Dinner @Korean BBQ San Nae Deul, Setiawalk Puchong

Bulgogi, Dak-Galbi, Samgyetang, Kimchi jigae, Bibimbap, Ramyeon, Gimbap, Pajeon, Ddeokbokki are the common dishes in Korean Cuisine. Which is your favorite one? My all time favorite is kimchi jigae! But this round I’m sacrificing kimchi jigae for something else. Worth the sacrifice??

Varieties of food offered at Setiawalk, Puchong. I decided to try the Korean cuisine here. The only Korean cuisine at the moment. – Korean BBQ San Nae Deul. If I’m not mistaken, they have several outlets in KL.

The interior. Cosy environment. The restaurant do provide private rooms. Maybe required reservation….on safer side lo…

Our sitting place.

Complimentary plain water for diners.

Grilled meat is something you must not miss when you dine in a Korean restaurant. So, we ordered Grilled Spicy Pork in Korean Spicy Sauce – RM35.

Another thing I like about Korean cuisine is the Banchan(side dishes)!! Look at the varieties of banchan here! *LIKE*

Hassle free. Just leave the grilling work to the staff. BTW….do you know why they put a piece of mushroom on that grilling pan ar?

meat was cut into smaller pieces for easy consumption.

Okay…now the meat are ready to makan. Although it stated ‘spicy’…but not spicy pun.

condiments for the grilled meat.

Fresh and green lettuce to eat together with the grilled meat.

This is how you eat them. A piece of lettuce, place rice over the lettuce, a piece of meat and some sauce made of fermented bean paste. The wrap it. It was quite yummy!

Dolsot Bibimbab (Mixed Rice with various vegetable in the stone pot)RM25 wasn’t satisfying. Lack of red pepper paste.

Samgyetang (Boiled chicken with ginseng)RM35

I sacrificed my kimchi jigae for this Samgyetang!! Unfortunately this samgyetang was very disappointed. Hardly taste any ginseng and the soup was quite bland. Moreover its incomparable to the samgyetang I had in Korea. I miss the one I had in Korea….huhuhu….

Overall; only satisfied with the Grilled Spicy Pork in Korean Spicy Sauce and banchan. Dolsot Bibimbab and Samgyetang are below average.

My Tea Break @CAFFEine; Setiawalk Puchong

My daily caffeine boost has to be at least a cuppa coffee. But usually I’ll just bancuh my cheap 3in1 coffee…hehehe…..

Caffeine is a bitter substance found in coffee, tea, soft drinks, chocolate, kola nuts, and certain medicines. But in this case…obviously we are referring to their drinks.

One day, I saw my friend posted photos of this cafe on his Facebook. Nice drink and cake I saw. I decided to give it a try and dragged Alex to bring me to Setiawalk. I noticed there are more and more cafes offering coffees and cakes here at Klang Valley. Anyway, this would be beneficial to us, the consumers…where we will be spoil with choices. Agreed? 😉

A very simple interior. Located at 1st floor right above Share Tea.

Free Wifi and some old-skool board games are also available here.

The drinks menu are neatly written on a chalkboard.

Freshly baked cakes and muffins. The cakes looked so good. I couldn’t decide which one to go for.

Ohhh…homemade ice cream by FatBaby is also available here! Isn’t that great to have some homemade ice cream. In terms of ingredients, much natural I suppose.

Again…I’m required to choose. I like salted caramel….at the same time I also like peanut butter wor. So, I ended up choosing ‘peanut butter’ flavor. hehe….

The ice cream is quite smooth and has nice taste of peanut butter. But not very strong. Size of cup is around 6cm in diameter.

Ohh ya…the friendly barista handed 2 additional flavors for us to sample. (not the whole cup okay) :-p

Chocolate : Very rich chocolate taste. Ermm…a lil bitter after taste.

Apple Crumble : Nice and fruity!

It was a hot afternoon. I really feel like having a cold drink. Therefore I chose Iced Electro Choc – RM11. (made from Irish cream, hazelnut coffee, milk and cocoa powder). Nice layers of drink I had. Wow…I did not expect an iced drink comes with coffee art too!! Thought I could only see the coffee art on hot drinks. *claps* I would say this drink is nice. Very smooth too. Hmm…kinda reminds me of latte.

Quench my thirst with a glass of Iced Electro Choc. To me, the serving size is quite big.

There you go…my choice of cake, Chocolate Baileys Cake – RM19.50.

A rich chocolate mousse cake topped with crunchy and crispy caramelized hazelnut. However I find it kinda pricey for a slice of cake. But this slice of cake is really good lar….

Come…take a closer look. Layers of chocolate mousse and sponge. The mousse part is rich and smooth. While the sponge part is very moist. Makes it a great combo!

Eat – Wedding – Sight Seeing

As mentioned earlier…I was at Ipoh for only a day trip. The main reason was to attend Alex’s cousin wedding. Well…we do not want to waste much time, but to fill the entire day with food and also sight seeing. Fully utilized the day since morning and get caught in the jam while traveling home. LOL!!

We decided to travel early…at around 7.45am..ermmm….actually not really early also lar hor?

With Alex’s driving skill…we reached Ipoh safely at around 10+am. LOL!!

Our plan was to go for dim sum breakfast. We would like to try Foh San’s dim sum at the new premise. Just because Saturday was a public holiday for Malaysians…Ipoh was so crowded over that weekend! I waited for a vacant table for like 15 minutes? Was that consider fast?! And I need to stand in front of the table…like chup-ing a seat liddat. *sigh*

Our dim sum breakfast. Not bad I felt. The selections of dim sum are not bad. Many choices. I like their siew mai. Big, juicy and meaty. We did not order much…because we still need to go for a wedding lunch at 12pm.

Restoran Foh San Sdn Bhd

30300 Ipoh Perak.

Business hours: 6.30am to 2pm (Closed every Tuesday)

After the dim sum breakfast, we went to Ching Han Guan Biscuit Shop

because my mom wanted to try their biscuit with meat floss, lotus paste & salted egg yolk filling. Unfortunately it was sold out at 12pm!! *disappointed mode* Huhuhu…sorry mummy… Apparently the boss said they only bake from Monday to Saturday. So on Sunday they’ll sell to people who has pre-ordered in advanced (at least a day). Okay..noted! Therefore…I end up buying the “Sek Kei Ma” and “Hap Tou Sou” (Chinese Walnut Cookies). Their Sek Kei Ma was just average. But the Hap Tou Sou is very nice!

Attended Alex’s cousin wedding at 12pm till 3+pm…

After the wedding lunch, we decided to try our luck to see if this ‘popular’ tau fu fah is still available. This place is a hype among tourists I guess.

The price list.

I queued. Cars can queue too. They’ll come to take your order. How come people in car queue gets their order faster wan?! Becos human queue is longer. *stupid me* I was unlucky lor…..the last 2 bowls of tau fu fah goes to the person who queued in front of me. *sigh*

Didn’t get to try their signature* tau fu fah…so I tried their soya bean + cincau lor…. They call it Black White. But I call it Michael Jackson. Hmmm…sorry to say..the soya bean..hmm..although it has nice soya taste..but I felt its overated lar… I can get a nice soya bean here in Seremban pasar malam also…nonit to queue so long summore. ^_^

It was rather early for dinner. None of us feeling hungry yet. Googled for place of interest. Found Gua Kek Look Tong which is not very far from town.

Opened in the 1970s, Kek Lok Tong is the most recent of the Ipoh cave temples and perhaps the most spectacular of them all. The temple is set in a huge cave in the limestone outcrops behind Gunung Rapat.

Impressive!

So natural and cooling inside. Hmm…I don’t see any fans inside. LOL!

Buddha Statues.

This is at the back of the entrance-a beautiful landscape garden. It look so heavenly. Feel so calm and it looks like a poster.

Goose went for an evening walk ^^

One of the pond is filled with water lilies. So pretty.

One of my favorite shot. I always feel water lilies are very pretty and calm.

This miniature ‘Fuk Luk Sau’ is so cute. Do pay a visit at Gua Kek Look Tong when you are in Ipoh.

Ok lar, time for dinner lor… Ipoh is famous for Bean Sprout Chicken.

I referred to this informative blog about Ipoh (Motormouth From Ipoh – Malaysian Food & Travel) , he mentioned that his favorite place would be Cowan Street Ayam Tauge & Koitia. Without hesitation, we came here for dinner.

Apparently they do not serve rice. So, this is what they have…to be eaten with the steamed chicken. – Kuey Teow Soup. The kuey teow is smooth and slippery.

This serve as appetizer. Fancy some chicken feets? Braised chicken feet. Its tasty and not hard. I think one of the ingredient is star anise.

What’s special about Ipoh’s Bean Sprout. They are fatter and shorter. Hehe….and crunchier too.

A plate of steamed chicken. Quite smooth and not overcooked.

The above meal for 4 eaters with 4 cups of herbal tea cost RM49. Not bad!

Huh…only left 3 steamed chickens? It was just 7pm when I left. Good business huh.

Brunch @ TiPsy Brew O’Coffee, Setiawalk Puchong

My previous visit to TiPsy Brew O’Coffee, Setiawalk Puchong was during tea time, enjoyed a cuppa coffee at this cozy place while waiting for the movie to begin.

Then I told myself, I want to come back here to try their cakes and food!

So, I decided to revisit this place over the weekend.

2013-04-21 11.59.35

Recently…Alex is soooo busy with his Candy Crush game! By passing my level although he started to play later than me. But I’ve neglected the game for quite sometime…lazy la… LOL!

2013-04-21 12.04.04

Alex with his order; Cappuccino – RM8.90. I was like…cappuccino again? Don’t you want to try something else? @_@

2013-04-21 12.03.42

Can I call myself a coffee lover without having much knowledge about coffee? I saw this familiar name on the menu called Macchiato – RM7.90. I decided to give it a try. ~To broaden my ‘knowledge’! HAHAHA!

‘Macchiato’ simply means ‘marked’ or ‘stained’, and in the case of caffè macchiato, this means literally ‘espresso stained/marked with milk’. Traditionally it is made with one shot of espresso, and the small amount of added milk was the ‘stain’. (source from wikipedia)

2013-04-21 12.07.55

Look…my cuppa macchiato is so small huh. My face is so much bigger that the cup. Oh my gosh! Yaya…I know..that is the way macchiato been served.

Yes, indeed macchiato has richer coffee taste!

2013-04-21 12.13.05

Turkey Sandwich – RM9.90

Turkey Roll, Tomato, Lettuce, Alfalfa, Mustard sandwiched in choice of bread; white or wholemeal.

2013-04-21 12.09.19

In their menu, there were only 2 types of noodle – Thai Laksa & Mee Rebus. I wish they could have more choices. Here, I chose Thai Laksa – RM10.90. The noodle texture is nice. Hmm…something like thick type of rice vermicelli. The broth wasn’t really spicy. It tasted quite similar to Nyonya Laksa . But I would preferred a creamier broth. hehe….

2013-04-21 12.21.55

The freshly baked Cranberry Scone is priced at RM3.80 each. Its crumbly, not hard and has nice fragrant of butter. Served with cream and blueberry jam.

2013-04-21 12.35.42

While I was looking at the selections of cakes..I asked one of the staff. Which would you recommend. She recommended a few..I can’t really remember them. But Toffee Banana was one of the recommended ones. Both toffee and banana are my favorite. Toffee Banana Cake (RM8.90) was very fresh, light and spongy! Toffee and slices of bananas are sandwiched between layers of spongy cake. Beneath is a thin layer of biscuit crumb. BTW…It was a really nice gesture. To draw a snoopy on the plate using chocolate sauce. This person must be quite artistic.

An interesting picture I saw on Facebook today. So, which is your type of coffee? And what your coffee says about you? My favorite pick is Latte. Latte says “you’re reflective, but often indecisive. In the world of unknowns, you like the safe picks”. OMG! Sounds quite accurate leh…

Dinner @Unkaizen Japanese Restaurant, Langkawi

Talking about Japanese food, there aren’t much choices compared to Chinese and Thai food which are easily sighted in Langkawi island. I’ve read many positive reviews about Unkaizen Japanese Restaurant from guests who’ve visited the restaurant. And we were aware about the steep price as mentioned by others.

What made us decided to come here for dinner on our 2nd day at Langkawi?

Its a famous restaurant in Langkawi. Based on the compliments and the best thing was that our staying place, Ambong Ambong is just a walking distance to Unkaizen. Although we stayed so near, I also made a reservation before hand. In order to secure a table with nice view.

20121213_191444

This is what I meant by nice view. Seated at upper floor facing Pantai Tengah.

IMG_6053

Wooden cover menu. Straight forward menu with not many photos attached. But the friendly and attentive staff will be there to assist you and also will inform you what’s today’s special on board. Varies daily.

IMG_6055An overall outlook of the upper floor. Occupying only 8 tables and with tatami seating. You are required to remove your shoe.

IMG_6057

When I’m dining in a Japanese restaurant, I preferred to have their Green Tea (Ocha) – RM4 for 2 person.

IMG_6062

Us at Unkaizen Japanese Restaurant.

IMG_6069

We ordered 2 different sets. The above one is Sashimi (Full) Set – RM70. Comes with 3 different types of sashimi. For the (Full) set, it comes together with white rice, miso soup, pickles, chawanmushi and cut fruits. I must admit that the thick slices of sashimi were so fresh and the texture is very smooth. Each and every slice were nicely cut.

IMG_6065

Then the 2nd set we ordered was Sushi Set – RM58. Comes with assorted sushi and hot noodle. Choice of Soba or Udon. The nicely pressed sushi rice were topped with thick slices of raw fish. This was equally good as well.

IMG_6068We chose soba instead of udon. However I preferred the Hot Soba from Rakuzen, KL. 😉

IMG_6073

Teppanyaki Ice Cream – RM10. Choose your favorite fruits from the menu for this teppanyaki ice cream. They uses homemade ice cream. You can also add more than 1 type of fruits. But there will be additional charges. Milky and smooth teppanyaki ice cream with bits of strawberry. Because I chose strawberry. Too bad the ice cream melted quite fast.

IMG_6074This is where they prepare the teppanyaki ice cream. You can watch how they are prepared. How come they didn’t call me to watch wan? *sobs…..

IMG_6076

Aquariums filled with fresh and live seafood. These seafood can be prepared in few ways. Eat as Sashimi (raw), Shioyaki (grilled with salt), Teriyaki (grilled with sweet sauce), Teppanyaki (grilled on hot plate) , Deep fried.

IMG_6078

The night view of Unkaizen Japanese Restaurant.

For Ambong Ambong guests, you’ll be entitled to 10% discount off total bill. We weren’t aware of this offer until we settle our bill at the cashier. Nice place to savour some good Japanese food. However I felt that the dining room at upper floor has poor ventilation. Why I said that? The guest who sat next to our table had this charcoal grill meat. In result, the whole room was so smokey even after the windows were open. Its like the smoke is trapped in the room. *Unpleasant*

Dinner @Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant, Langkawi

Pantai Cenang is a tourist spot. Therefore do not expect for dirt cheap seafood here.

My proposed plan did not work. We had to make a quick decision on where should we have our dinner. We wanted to have some seafood. Although there are quite a number of seafood restaurants along Pantai Tengah and Pantai Cenang, but we do not want to step into a restaurant blindly without knowing the price range. Therefore I quickly browse for recommendations through Tripadvisor. Tripadvisor has been a very useful website to me. I find the reviews are quite genuine especially on hotels.

Looks like Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant is an ideal choice with many positive reviews. It is located further down from Underwater World if you are coming from Pantai Tengah. It was less than 5 minutes driving distance.

IMG_5754

The restaurant is brightly lit and the environment was not bad.

IMG_5749

The restaurant was almost filled up with customers and majority are tourists. But getting a table for only 2 ain’t a problem. 😉

Sometimes I felt it is kinda difficult to decide what to order when there are only 2 eaters. Its like you wanting to try varieties of dishes and at the same time you do not want to end up with food wastage.

I assumed because the kitchen need to handle alot of orders..therefore our food was delivered abit slow. Waited for about 30minutes. You know right..when you are hungry..you tend to be ‘quite’ impatient. LOL!

IMG_5752

Pick your own fishes.

IMG_5751

Erm….Crab are priced at RM80/kg?!! OMG!

IMG_5750

Fresh and live lobsters. Look tempting. You can ask the staff to fetch any of this lobster and they weight it and priced according to its weight.

IMG_5756

My small glass of orange juice.

IMG_5763Omelette with Oyster – RM12

Not memorable. The oysters were kinda small.

IMG_5758

Fried Squid – RM18

Crispy batter and the squid was not rubbery. Fried till perfection.

IMG_5760

Butter Prawn – RM18

The prawn size weren’t too small. Most important is that they are fresh! Therefore the prawns were crunchy. Average 6nos. of prawn.

IMG_5762

Tom Yam Chicken – RM15

Not really big bowl, but sufficient for 2 eaters. This hot, spicy and sourish soup was really appetizing.

Overall..I find this place may be a good choice when you are at Pantai Cenang. We were quite satisfied with the above dinner. The prices for the above food consider affordable. Not too pricey. But if you fancy some Thai flavors cooking…do make a turn into Kuah Town and try this place; Lgk Yummy Yummy Seafood.

Lunch @Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant, Midvalley Megamall

Annyeonghaseyo.

Jai Jinesseyo.

~translated as “Hello. How are you?”

I like eating Korean food. Especially Kimchi! Also the irresistible Kimchi Jigae. Just like how much I can’t say no to Tom Yam soup 😉

I thought its a good buy when I saw livingsocial was offering;

Dolsot Bibimbab (6 choices) + 3 Side Dishes + Free Flow Green Tea

for just RM10.

I grabbed 5 coupons and went together with my family over the weekend.

Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant is located at the 3rd floor of Midvalley Megamall- the cinema floor. There’s a staircase to walk up to the restaurant which is above Taiwan Recipe.

I also noticed part of the customers here were redeeming their coupon. I suppose its a good deal that you should not miss?

There were 6 choices of bibimbap(stone pot mixed rice) for us to choose from.

– Fried Beef
– Spicy Octopus
– Kimchi Chicken
– Spicy Squid
– Curry Chicken
– Curry Beef

Refillable iced green tea to quench your thirst before food is served.

I chose Kimchi Chicken Bibimbap. Korean rice served in hot stone topped with lettuce, generous amount of kimchi chicken and a beautiful sunny yolk.

3 side dishes varies daily. We got here were kimchi, water crest vegetable and radish.

This is what it look after mixing everything in the bowl. The hot stone bowl able to keep my rice warm till my last spoon. I would prefer it to be spicier…more hot sauce perhaps. hehe…..

Mummy and Marcus had Curry Chicken Bibimbap. The curry taste wasn’t tad strong..and its not spicy either. If you can’t take spicy food….no worries about their curry chicken 😉

Alex had their Curry Beef Bibimbap. The beef were thinly slice. Not tough but tasty.

Stirring the ingredients thoroughly before eating.

Michele had Spicy Octopus Bibimbap. Becos octopus is her favorite! 😉

I also added an additional Grilled Pork Platter (RM39.90). I asked the waiter to do the grilling job. hehe…..

How to eat these grilled pork? Wrapped with fresh lettuce leaves, with rice, thinly sliced garlic, ssamjang (a mixture of gochujang and dwenjang).

Whole table filled with food!!

Verdict : Overall a decent and satisfied Korean food. The only downside I felt was the restaurant abit cramp and warm.

Worth To Try Lou Shu Fun @Restoran Yi Poh, Seremban

I love lou shu fun.

I miss having lou shu fun.

Lou shu fun is my all time favorite.

*pause* I feel as though I’m describing my new boyfriend.

Please dun tell Alex about this BF. Hurmm….but I think Alex also love my bf. I’ve influenced him. LOL!

Perhaps some of you may not know what is lou shun fun.

Some people call it rat noodle.  I often call it ‘mee tikus’. I’ve just discovered an English name for lou shu fun. Eventually Wikipedia says..lou shu fun is call ‘Silver Needle Noodle’. Errrmmm….. what a name!

Seremban people like having lou shu fun. You can easily order lou shu fun at any noodle stall. Unlike in KL…most of the time they will tell me they don’t have lou shu fun. *sigh*

Friends who came over, I’ll bring them to Restoran Yi Poh. Needless to go over to the wet market although its nice and cheap…but I don’t want my friends to get disappointed because its often sold out early. (sometimes before 11am)

At Restoran Yi Poh I can have a better dining environment and most important is that the operating hours is till late noon. One can choose to dine in an air conditioned room or a non air-conditioned room.

2013-03-23 12.53.55

Simple 1 page menu. Other than their signature lou shu fun, they also serve other type of noodles as well.

2013-03-23 12.57.05

Yi Poh Lou Shu Fun – RM4.00 (S). Topped with generous minced pork and some pork slices. Stir the noodle before eating. Each strand of noodle will be coated with dark soya sauce and minced pork. What makes Yi Poh lou shu fun special is the spicy chili sambal, I guess.

Some said its similar to the noodle we had for assam laksa what..Hurmm…I think you’ll gotto try it yourself, then you’ll know the difference. *in terms of texture*

2013-03-23 12.56.40

Dislike lou shu fun, you can also try Hakka Mee – RM4.00(S). I would say their Hakka Mee is not as nice as Tow Kee’s Hakka Mee.

2013-03-23 12.57.58

Additional side order. Pork Balls (RM0.60/pc) are my favorite. Huge, bouncy and firm meat ball. Served with peppery soup.

2013-03-23 13.10.53

All wipe out! 😀

I heard that their wantan mee is quite good too. Tourist can conveniently shop for Seremban siew pao by just crossing the road. “Asia Siew Pau” is located just opposite. Freshly baked siew pao and other pastries can be purchase there. However I find that the siew pao quality at “Asia Siew Pau” are not really consistent. Sometimes nice sometimes not so nice. So far, I preferred the siew pao at Kampung Baru Rasah.

Good Food + Good Companion @T.G.I. Friday’s, Sunway Pyramid

Do you agree that good food and good companion are equally important?

I actually knew this group of friends since year 2008 through a wedding forum. Never expect we could maintain the friendship from virtual friends to good friends. Not forgetting Nicole and Vivian..just that we hardly get together at the same time.

It is not just friendship between both Ashley and Wanyi….we also get our HB to involve. Never expect our HBs can get along well too. Nevertheless, we even went for overseas trip together. Despite the hectic life…we still make some effort to have dinner or sometimes to a short trip.

On our recent meeting, we actually planned to have dinner at Itallianiese. Unfortunately Itallianiese at Sunway Pyramid has moved its business to Paradigm Mall. Therefore we had to make a sudden change of venue. With agreement from everyone, we then decided to go to T.G.I. Friday’s. Guess many of you are already familiar with T.G.I. Friday’s. 😉

The dining area.

I like how they deco the wall, with vintage stuffs.

From Left: Strawberry Lemonade Slush (RM10.90), Green Apple Slush (RM10.90), Blue Raspberry Slush (RM10.90), Cranberry Fizz (RM8.90).

All the above drinks are cold and refreshing!

They are currently having this promo of 2 course meal for RM29.90. Consist of an appetizer and a main course. *selected choice as above*. I find this a good deal. Therefore we decided to order 2 sets of this.

Appetizer A:- Fried Mozzarella (Mozzarella cheese coated in special Italian-style breading, deep fried and served with rich marinara sauce.)

Appetizer B:- Bruschetta (Toasted garlic butter Ciabatta bread topped with garlic and fresh roma tomato-basil salsa and drizzled with balsamic glaze).

Main Course A:- Chicken Fingers (Hand battered chicken tenders, golden fried and served with crispy fries and honey mustard for dipping.) The crispy battered chicken fingers are nice, the meat are tender and not dry too.

Main Course B:- Key West Whitefish (A roasted mild whitefish topped with sparkling citrus splash, served with seasonal vegetables and herb rice). Among the rest, I actually like this the most. The fish fillet was fresh, the gravy was tasty and the rice was flavorful.

Garlic Spaghetti Vegetali (add Blackened Cajun Shrimp) – RM26.90.

Spaghetti gently tossed with extra virgin oil, fresh broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, basil, Parmesan  cheese and garnished with crispy basil leaf.

Tossed Tomato Basil Chicken (RM27.90)

Sliced, chargrilled chicken breast served over linguine pasta tossed in a fresh tomato basil salsa. Garnished with zesty Balsamic glaze.

Honestly, I felt that both pastas we had here were just average. Nothing great.

Additional side order of Buffalo Wings. Juicy and succulent chicken wings were finger licking good!
