I Miss My………

Last night, I attended my ex-colleague’s wedding in a Chinese Restaurant with good ambiance. As usual, the host will play some slide shows to the guests while waiting for the dinner to begin. From the moment they started to play the slide show of the couple’s pre-wedding photos, it reminds me of my wedding. Yes, no doubt my eyes were watching it, but my mind was like replaying my own wedding. Everything seems like a flash back to me. :- had a memorable pre-wed photo session, walked down the aisle, the wine toasting(yum sengggg…) and lots more. In fact, each wedding I attended also gave me the warm feeling and memories. Looks like I miss my wedding very much. Perhaps; was the once and only beautiful moment on that pretty white wedding gown.

On my Actual Wedding Day (26 September 2009)

My Pre-Wedding Photos…..love looking through each and every piece of it.

Comics of The Day

Feeling bored today. I couldn’t held but to share some comics for a lil laughs.

A series of comic from “Kee’s World” which I adore each day!

(abstract from The Star)

Hmm…I guess most of the employees would agree with the above one.

Muahahah…. In future I shall wake hubby up using this method. *evil smile*

In resultant of chopping; we are having bare forests.

“SO” is the answer?? YES! I do need that tool to knock his head.

Trying Hard….

Project fails twice. Though it might sounded just a short term towards certain group of people, but it ain’t easy as what I’ve thought. Having just strong-will isn’t enough still. Having passion wouldn’t be just the reason. Wonder am I trying hard enough? How long should I hold on to? Am starting to question God. “When will you be blessing me? Are you treating us* fair enough? I even asked hubby the same question. Hubby answered patiently; HE is treating us good enough; by allowing us to move forward step by step.

Am getting quite emotional nowadays. Even just a small piece of article could made me shed tears. Hence; of course there are some people there that may sounded rather sarcastic. I know you have done it well, I know you have succeed in your project. But is there any reason for being sarcastic in your comment or so-called advise?? Probably it may sounded quite humor to them. Or perhaps I took it too serious.

I must start to ignore certain comments. Please brave yourself by not just saying without practicing!

Wedding Anniversary at Philea Resort & Spa

In conjunction of my wedding anniversary on 26th September; Alex and I decided for a getaway to celebrate it. Its our 1st wedding anniversary. Instead of anywhere else; somehow we got seduced by the appearance of this resort during the MATTA fair on beginning of the month. The type of stay is rarely found elsewhere in Malaysia. They were offering promo of purchase 1 night and get the 2nd night for free. Without much hesitation; we bought the room package(Pavillion Villa) inclusive breakfast for 2. Erm..which resort I’m referring to?? Its Philea Resort & Spa, Ayer Keroh, Melaka; new resort which just established this year.

It is located barely 1 minute away from the Ayer Keroh interchange of the North South Highway, 90 minutes from KLIA and 20 minutes from the City Of Melaka. It is one of the premier resorts in the country which lies in the shade of forest giants.

We started our journey & reached there at about 1.30pm. Upon checking in; we were served with wet towels & a glass of welcome drink (with the taste of lemon grass). You need not worry about the walking distance to your room even if your room is located far from the lobby. Because there are buggy service to send or fetch you.

Perhaps I shall put them all in simple sentences. I guess the photos will meant more than words!

the welcome drink-a signature drink with the taste of lemon grass/serai.

I was told that they uses lemon grass/serai as their theme. Even the bath soap, shampoo or lotion has that lemon grass fragrant too.

From the moment we opened our room door; WOW…I was totally amazed with everything & the decoration they made due to our anniversary(I gave a call to the resort;few days before hand & told the staff about our celebration). Minutes later while I was  still busy taking photos; someone rang our room door bell. Alex opens the door and the staff brought in a cake with the label “WEDDING ANNIVERSARY”. I was so touched by their effort. I did not expect them to do so much. From wedding decos, rose petals to cake!

Nowadays people are getting more creative. They can come up with all sorts of ideas. People are really into DIY now. Then; they have wall stickers. Now; they even have switch stickers. Got curious and somehow purchased few of it. Bought them with the price of RM3 per piece. Its simple and easy to get it done.

AVILLION 2009

This is an outdated post actually. It was on October 2009. I decided to blog on it now. Sweet memories are always the memorable ones. Kinda misses it now… Despite that; it meant 1 year is just ‘sap sap sui’. Really fast…..and its already September 2010 now.

It was a short getaway after our wedding.

We bought the room voucher during MATTA fair at the price of RM410 for the water chalet room. (rooms are built just above the sea). Inclusive of buffet breakfast for two. Avillion is located in Port Dickson, which is just approximately 30 minutes drive from my home.

We spent a night of relaxing & pampering ourselves here.

I would say its a prefect resort for me so far. A place which I hope to visit again. The room is clean, the surrounding is comfy, good environment and nice view.  We had a great time there….really hoping for something similar this year!!  😉

our room. unfortunately the rooms were quite occupied that day. we got no choice but to choose 2 single beds instead of 1 big bed.

view from the verandah

the bathroom. the opened-air shower is the best part or unique one.

there was a beach side wedding held on that night. Its so lovely…

changed into swimsuit and hooped into the adult’s pool. There are 2 swimming pools actually. Well….the adult pool is much better…less crowd.

night view of the other pool which located next to the restaurant. Had our supper there.

buffet breakfast….food not bad though

visited the mini petting zoo

feeding the cute & lovely pets

After the breakfast, zoo, we walked over to the beach. While relax, enjoyed the beautiful sandy beach .

It’s so convenient

It’s so convenient nowadays. You can prepare a good meal with all the convenient stuff sold in supermarket. (good for lazy people like me..blek).       I cooked a simple dinner yesterday night. I’m preparing stuff for my spaghetti bolognese here. Got the tomato puree with herbs well-packed in a bottle, specially for spaghetti. A packet of mussel, a pack of minced chicken meat and a packet of spaghetti. Got it all from the supermarket.

these are all the ingredients

Ingredients:-

1 packet of mussel

1 packet of minced chicken – any brand

1 packet of spaghetti – any brand

1 bottle of  tomato puree (specially for bolognese) – any brand

2 shallot – minced

Method (a brief one) :-

1) Heat 2 tablespoon oil on pan

2) Brown minced shallot then add in the packet of minced chicken. Stir-fry till brown.

3) Add in 3/4 of the 750g (bottle) sauce into the pan. Add in water as desired.

Slowly boil & stir it well for around 10-15 minutes. If its too dry, do add water.

4) While waiting the sauce to cook; boil the mussel & noodles till its cooked. Make sure you have enough water to boil the noodles. (water must cover up noodles)

5) Ready to be serve.

taaa daahh….this is how it looks

a closer view

Hubby’s comment:- Nice…but abit dry. Can still improve.

Mummy’s comment:- Should add in some fresh tomatoes & tomato sauce for the extra taste.

My new CRUMPLER 5 Million Dollar Home

Yea….this year’s birthday present from Alex is a camera bag!! As I’ve wished..

I’ve wanted a CRUMPLER bag to store my camera, easier for me to carry it around. CRUMPLER is known for its trendiness & stylish designs. The only place which I can purchase it over in KL is at KLCC. Some might think that

5 Million Dollar Home might be quite small… But I think the size is good enough for me. Not too huge. If too huge, I afraid I will be lazy to carry it around. :-p  Yeap, I did tried on the 6 Million Dollar Home; but I felt that it looks rather huge on me….hahaha…

Therefore I picked 5 Million Dollar Home. Which comes in 4 colors. (Black, Grey, Green & Brown). The price for this bag is RM259. Its cheaper than shashinki(an online camera shop) by RM40.

I picked the Grey one…

adjustable divider. good protection with cushion

many compartments

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, DARLING!!!!  😉

Mel’s birthday – Part 2

Hubby celebrated my birthday over the passed weekend.

Initially we thought of dining at “Chili’s”. However I changed my mind few days ago. Thought of trying something new instead. Since I know there are plenty of new food or restaurant which I’ve not tried before. Despite of trying something new, I do not want it to be too pricey though. I asked my friend, asked Ashley for suggestion. She suggested Chinoz. Well, since it has good reviews from some food blogger too…Therefore I told Alex, the changed of plan. Alex answered; up to u….’lei wa si…lei tai sai today’ ~  (u decide, u are the host today) :-p

the sauces

Alex’s orange juice – RM13

My Mango Fizz – RM12

complimentary toast bread

crispy potato wedges – RM9

Fish & Chip – RM28

(the fish meat is very yummy)

Grill Chicken with brown sauce – RM25

I like the fries very much though!

CHURROS – RM20 (with hazelnut chocolate dipping sauce)

I seriously miss this dessert very very much. I have no idea what’s its made of. Its like a soft dough, like soft donuts texture, warm, top with cinnamon powder & sugar. Dip into the chocolate sauce when its warm. VOILA~~~

when I looked up; I noticed this beautiful high ceiling right above me.

Mel cam-whoring….

NOTE: Nice ambiance, cozy, quiet. Food are nice. Price is above average.

Food portion size is average.

Mel’s Birthday – Part 1

Owww…..sad to know that my 28th birthday has just over.

I’m aging year by year….gosh…time flies really fast without one realizing it..

As usual, I’ll be celebrating my birthday with my family & my loved one.

This year, I spared the earlier weekend to celebrate with my family.

We decided to have dinner at a cafe, which newly opens not long ago. Received some good reviews from friend & colleague. Therefore decided to give it a try. They serves fusion food. (western & chinese).

the very 1st dish. “tom yum soup” ..

not so good…. doesn’t taste like tom yum 😦

black pepper udon – NICE

fried chicken wings

-yummy….taste of ‘nam yi’ –

pork meat balls……tasty

Spaghetti – delicious

black pepper chicken chop

chicken maryland – SOSO only!

YOO….We siblings ROCKS!!

Note: This cafe is located in Uptown Avenue, Seremban 2.

I think their western food (those chop chop) so so only. Their chinese food taste nicer….. Out total bill came up to be RM80+ (with drinks). Quite fair lor…each person average less than RM20.

After our dinner; I suggested for 2nd round – ice cream as dessert over in A&W. The place where we able to makan cheap ice creams. Unfortunately, they no longer serves various types of ice creams anymore 😦

Therefore we were restricted to few types only…..*sigh*

I ordered the ‘chocolate ice cream’

with mom, niece, sis & bro

Hubby & I

After all the makan & food, we return home. My mom surprised me with a cheese cake which she made it the day before. Wahhh….I’m so happy & touched.Thank you mummy…thank you everyone!!  😉
